Farmhouse Il Piastrino — Local services in Vinci

Not wanting to repeat the scenario of every other married couple we know, we opted for a non-traditional wedding. The idea for the reception was to hold it in Tuscany, Italy. After many hours spent searching online for the right venue, we came across this one. What followed was a recon visit in August and then our wedding in September 2017. Both times the service, culture, and food were beyond what we had hoped for. Located among vineyards this was the ideal place for us; colourful with a very distinct Tuscan character. The family owning the establishment helped us prepare everything for our wedding reception (menu, venue, decorations, flowers even including the bridal bouquet, wedding cake etc.). Their efforts were indispensable - they provided us with everything we asked for. The food is sourced locally and is top quality - best Italian dishes we and each of our 15 guests had so far. Il luogo è pulito, ordinato, gradevole e con un'ottima cucina. Per questo potrei dare una valutazione massima con lode. Poi, in contropartita ti ritrovi con un servizio ai tavoli pessimo che non solo genera confusione, ma ti penalizza. In un tavolo di oltre 30 persone con menù concordato ti ritrovi che almeno 10 persone non prendono un dolce perché la cameriera da una parte dice che non è compreso e l'altra invece si, gente che aspetta un caffè mentre gli altri sono già a mangiare altro... o che il bar adibito alla piscina si ritrovi con UNA birra moretti da 0.66 fresca e il resto calde e non mollino 50 centesimi per ovviare con quelle da 033 che ti vendono senza scontrino a 3 euro). Se avete sete c'è il vino (caldo) nel cartone da 4 lt a 12 euro. Le camere nella location distaccata sono a 50 mt... con una pendenza molto forte ed un terreno così accidentato impossibile da fare con delle infradito (per la piscina) o dei tacchi a spillo per la cena. I vini: non ho idea se per fare i fantastici ci abbiano inserito in menu una bottiglia ogni 4 persone, ma è il peggiore che abbia mai ingerito.. parliamo di 5 euro la bottiglia (lo stesso prezzo della moretti 0 66)... e non è un prezzo di favore, ma il prezzo normale: in Toscana???? Ma davvero si può ritenere la clientela così incolta da non riuscire a capire che "vino" è un'altra cosa? Ma se lo propongono potete immaginare se l'obiettivo è la qualità. Poi 10 euro un "aperitivo" che consiste in un bicchiere di quel "vino", 4 bruschettine ricavate da una baguette, una fetta di melone. Con 5 euro in più ci hanno dato una fetta di crudo e una di salame e una fetta di anguria (l'anguria al 19 settembre, immaginate). Dimenticavo... abbiamo diviso un dolce al pistacchio in 6 (per non farlo gravare sul gruppo pensando fosse un extra): era...

We had our wedding at Il Piastrino. Everything was perfect. It is in a beautiful and cozy location.The family and all staff are amazing, very friendly and very helpful. I cannot say enough good things as they were all truly amazing.||Rooms are located in different buildings and all are very charming. Some have kitchen but it is really not needed as the food they serve are SO good, all home made and at very affordable prices. It is highly recommended to eat in their restaurant.
