This pottery making experience was one of the highlights of our family group to Japan last April, we found this seaside town with its many hidden gems in the short 3 days we stayed in Kanazawa. After a tour and brief background explanation of the historic significance of the establishment we got to have a go ourselves! The master was so patient as my sister broke piece after piece and he allowed our group of 5 to squeeze into the 4 wheel booking with a bit of rotation so no one missed out. The small rustic workshop visit was well worth the 35 minute walk from the town centre down side streets ..and the 5 month wait for our work to be dried, cured ,fired and sent to Australia ( very safely packed ) was definitely received with much excitement!
