Kōbe LOFT — Local services in Kobe

I usually love looking around Loft and have a lot of fun. But today I was followed almost the entire hour I was in the store by the security guy. I was looking at pens, makeup, and stationary. I felt so uncomfortable the entire time and even tried to make it obvious that I saw him following me everywhere (near the end when I was getting angry). Aisle by aisle he would follow. I thought it must be because people steal pens, so I went back to cosmetics, he still followed me. I couldn't shop comfortably, so I just went to checkout.

Where he still watched me!! How is that helping to prevent shoplifting if I'm literally paying for my items while others are shopping??

The worst part, he followed me up to the next floor of the mall. So he wasn't just security for the Loft, but the whole mall (I'm guessing). I just sat on a bench and waited for him to leave. I will never go back here and recommend foreigners be alert. I don't usually assume it's because I'm foreign, but I know for a fact he wasn't paying attention to anybody else while I was there and I was the only foreigner I saw at the time. Please talk to your security team to avoid uncomfortable situations like this for future shoppers. If I didn't have gifts for family I would have left without buying anything because of him.

Only a single floor Loft. Staff broke something we were having gift wrapped, which was fine but they didn't have a replacement available so we requested just a refund instead. It ended up taking them 15+ minutes sorting through paperwork involving multiple staff. Considering it was also their fault for dropping our item I at least expected a simple cash back immediately and let them figure out the paperwork on...
