Kikyoya Kofuhonkan — Local services in Kofu

EDIT: went back when they had customers, about 5:20 on a Saturday. I was mistaken about their cafe space - there's a path off to the side, you have to walk past the small garden to get to it. Inside there's another register, bathroom, counter, and serveral tables. Even though the main store is open later the cafe closes around 5 so I thought I couldn't get anything. I went back into the store to ask if the cafe was closed and they told me it was but recommended another place I could go to get ice cream. I didn't want just ice cream, I wanted to try the shingen mochi soft cream creations they have! The employee actually went back to the cafe and said it was okay for me to get one! It was absolutely delicious!!

Went an hour befor closing and no customers, which is fine by my standards. Plenty of clerks, seemed friendly but I couldn't figure out where the cafe was. They were restocking and seemed busy wrapping up for the day, which is understandable but makes me feel like I have to come to the shop at their convenience rather than them being of service to me. The second floor has a sort of Museum/display area and restrooms. The second floor is a shop with a small seating area (living/waiting room style) and the only indication of the cafe is a stand up placard. I guess I'll try to come back when they're busier because I did want to try the shingen mochi, maybe in ice cream...

山梨土産として有名な「信玄餅」を作る桔梗屋さん。 令和3年末に販売開始された、人気の器も食べられる「信玄餅」を買うために開店と同時に来ましたが、既に他にもお客さんが。 1人一箱(3個入り)のみの限定販売!店員さんの話しでは、午前中には完売するそうです。全部で50箱位しか有りません。8個入りも有るようですが、現在は販売中止!残念!迷惑な話、転売があったそうです。 元々は和菓子屋さんなので、信玄餅以外にもいろいろ有ります。 気になったのはいちご大福でしたが、まだできてなくてあと1時間位あとだと言われました。 たくさんの種類の和菓子があったので、目移りしてしまいました。

お盆に夫の実家へ帰省する際のお土産として信玄プリン4個入りを購入。 店員の方の対応が気になりました。

商品をレジへ持っていくと、何の断りもなく白いビニール袋へ入れ始めたので「紙袋にお願いします」とこちらから申し出たところ「ああ…」みたいな顔をされました。 大抵のお客さんがお土産として買うのではないでしょうか？「ご自宅用ですか？」くらい聞くべきだと思う。

夫も食べたいと言っていたのでバラも1個買おうと思い「バラも１つお願いします」と言うと、カウンターからレジが少し離れているためか「はい？」と聞き返され、もう1度伝えると「4個入りからしかない」と冷たい反応…。無いのは仕方がないけど「申し訳ありません、こちらバラ売りはしていなくて…」とか他に言いようあるだろう。

代金を払い、お釣りをトレーに乗せ「ありがとうございました」とこちらに差し出すとさっさとその場を離れてしまいました。 いや、私が釣りを財布にしまうところを最後まで見てろとまでは言わないけど、退散が早すぎるのでは？
