The hotel is a little way out (15 min walk) from the railway station, worth a cab ride if you've got any luggage.||||I think the hotel is great for 1 or 2 night stays. Alas I was there for eight nights, the room began to close in Japanese hotel rooms are small, it's just the way it is. I did get used to the firm (by western standards bed and pillow), when I got back home i was considering changing my own arrangements for a much firmer mattress.||The room was small clean and functional, with a desk to work at and double bed. The internet was fast and connection easy.||||Opposite reception is the breakfast room, breakfast is functional rather than lavish, once I got used to the arrangement, I found it more than enough to keep me going to lunch.||||The hotel backs on to the bars and restaurant district, so plenty of choice in the evenings, to which end the hotel reception distribute a hand map and guide. What I missed until the last night of my stay was the hotel's own top floor restaurant. Choose your time and you'll get a great sunset view of Kofu and beyond, Mt Fuji as you eat.||||A feature of my trip to Japan was the welcome and care I received every where I went, the staff at this hotel just added to my...
Read moreI go with my husband who attend a seminar in Yamanashi University. We left the hotel using a bus to Kofu Station. He forgot where he last see his backpack as he bussy helping an old lady stepping of the bus when we arrived at the station. We rush back to the hotel and the hotel staff help us track the bus and communicate with the bus company/driver to locate the bag. Fortunatelly, they found the bag at the back of the bus where he left it. Although we find difficulties in communication (not all reception staff has a good english, I use google translate at first😊) but they really help us with our difficulties. The room is average size of Japanesse hotels, but the ceiling is a bit more than my last hotel. The room is clean, the view are good (upper floor, ours are 10th) just less in...
Read moreStayed for a night while one vacation. Perfect hotel for my needs. Check-in was prompt, and friendly. The room was clean with all the necessary amenities, and plenty comfortable for a solo traveler. Your standard Japanese hotel. It was a touch pricier than a normal business hotel stay (8,000 yen), but I would chalk that up to visiting during a holiday. It's also a 15 minute walk from Kofu Station, which can feel like quite a hike after a long day of walking around, but nothing major. Would stay again if the price is right, but I'd probably look for something closer to the station...
