We liked our overnight stay. Room was spacious, clean and relaxing. We had a very quiet night sleep on a futons, woke up fresh and relaxed. Both, dinner and breakfast, were included in the price and we liked them too, enough food to satisfy all cravings. We did participate in a morning prayers and after it was as finished, we were given explanatory tour around two prayer chambers. All in all, happy to visit this particular pilgrim’s lodging and can recommend it to others.

Part of a holiday over night trip. A really lovely experience of praying with the Monks. Vegetarian meal and breakfast was beautifully presented and an experience to remember. Lovely room overlooking the garden.

Had a wonderful experience staying at the Henjoko-in temple for one night. The food was amazing, the (shared) bath was excellent and the rooms spacious. We also attended the morning prayer, which was an amazing experience. Thanks again to the monk who gave us (and the other visitors) a tour of the temple and its history. Once in a lifetime experience.

Just to clarify: the temple is not open to the public for visits, but you can book a room to stay in the temple for one or...
