EXPENSIVE TOURIST TRAP
AVOID AT ALL COST. Certainly the worst meal I’ve ever had. If you’re expecting Japanese food this place is a scam. It’s run by Chinese and masked it to look like they’re serving Japanese cuisine. We had 4 pax and ordered the cheapest set menu (only sets available) and it costed about 11500 yen per pax. Cheapest on the menu but certainly not cheap for a meal. Extremely steep price tag for the quality of food and service they served. When we walked inside we were greeted by supposedly the owner of restaurant and he welcomed us with a rude tone of ‘only set menu now.’ After we got seated not long the Japanese group next to us suddenly stood up and left the restaurant (I think they were served with their drinks already and perhaps the appetiser) we were curious and asked one of the Chinese staff(perhaps owner also) what happened? He said the Japanese were being unreasonable and got unhappy so they told them they could leave immediately without paying. We couldn’t understand at first but later understood why and thought that was actually wise thing they did.
oyster soup did not have oyster in it, instead it was abalone and some candy looking rice cake + seaweed, tasting just like normal dashi but I cannot accept the fact that it was served in plastic bowl 3 kinds appetisers consist of some fish cake with colouring, chicken meat that was extremely dry and a piece of cake tasting thing that made of egg (I was confused because it tasted more like a dessert?) A5 wagyu beef slices were good but definitely not A5!!!! Portion was small no complaints about pork slices vegetable was not served until we asked, and for 4 sets they gave us 2 pieces of shiitake and 7 pieces of fish cake??????? Note that we ordered 4 sets so I don’t understand where they got the odd number from chinese waiter/owner came over when we were still cooking our meat (about 30% food left) and said we could let him know when we wanted our dessert served so we said ok, not even 3 mins later he just bought the dessert out and said ‘we will just served you now ok?’ And we haven’t even got the chance to response he just put the dessert next to our raw vegs and meat where’s the basic food hygiene???????? Dessert next to raw food???????? Anyways the dessert was not edible, it’s just a sake glass kinda size and everyone took like half of it because it’s so so so darn sweet and almond + coconut milk really didn’t go well
5% service charge but there’s actually barely any service rendered.
If I could only use one word to describe this place I would say it is a SCAM. And we’re sure of the reason why the Japanese group just...
Read moreThe staff was very friendly and guided us on the proper way to enjoy shabu-shabu. The shop is run by both Chinese and Japanese, and their service was excellent.
We ordered Wagyu Sirloin and Shank, along with pork, scallops, and Sukiyaki soup. Everything was so delicious that we even added three extra bowls of rice!
For A5 Wagyu, the price was quite reasonable. Our total bill came to ¥30,000 the most expensive meal I’ve ever had but it was absolutely worth it.
Another great thing is that they don’t have a break between lunch and dinner like many other restaurants in Japan, so you can enjoy a meal at any time.
We left very happy and satisfied....
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE. I got food poisoning and couldn't go snowboarding. The owner was pushy and trying to sell us ala carte meat and saying it's the best meat of hokkaido. I felt horrible after. Ended up with 102 fever that night. T_T
It's expensive tourist trap. The owners are NOT japanese. Also the udon comes from a package (the square ones lol. we can gt that in the states...). Anyways, not to be mean but I'm bitter because I paid a lot of money to get food poisoning. The rest of my trip was...
