Don Quijote is one of my favorite stores to shop at in Japan. It is the place to go for souvenir gifts and household goods. The Naha Tsubogawa store is located on the ground floor of the Tokyu Stay Okinawa Naha hotel and close to Tsubogawa Station. While it is not open 24 hours, it has some long hours of operation as it is open daily from 8 am to 3 am.
This store is a lot less crowded than the Kokusaidori location, which is spread over several floors, whereas this location is only on two floors, making it easier to maneuver through. The lower floor is where the food and liquor items are located. The food section includes fresh meats and prepared foods. Bought a delicious pack of chicken karaage and a locally made onigiri here as a snack that were good. There is also a section dedicated to Okinawan souvenir food products. Household goods and some personal care products like sunscreen are located on this floor.
The upper floor is where cosmetics and health products are located, as well as items like clothing. There is also a section upstairs dedicated to Japanese confectionery. The selection of products at this store is extensive. Prices are not necessarily the lowest on everything, but they are competitively priced if they aren't. If you are a tourist, duty free is available if you spend ¥5,000. However, you do need to go to a designated line to pay for your products. One was located in the health products area on the second floor. Make sure to bring your passport if you are making a duty free purchase.
If you are looking for everyday items and souvenir products at low prices all in one location, Don Quijote is the store to go to. This location is great as it is close to the center of Naha, but...

Buy 1000 yen, get an hour free. We didn’t eat at the food court, but it looked nice so we probably will some time (and remember to watch the clock!). Great processed food prices for the most part, though we haven’t seen other supermarkets yet. Also good for tourists/those leaving the prefecture to get Okinawan snacks and packaged foods. (Tried to fix the Google navigation for cars heading to the parking lot; hope...
Read moreConsidered a Mega-Don Quixote. Closest comparison would be to a membership fee-free Sam's Club /Walmart /Costco, with as many departments including a pharmacy, electronics /anime shop, toy store, food court, etc..., but with sales in retail and not in bulk. Japanese and international brands at discount prices. Popular with both locals and tourists in the Food Court / Deli is the mega-chicken "katsu" or filet, more than 1 lb (500 grams) cooked wiener schnitzel...
