Onitsuka Tiger in Hankyu Umeda GREEN AGE — Local services in Osaka

There weren’t many options here, the store is small and only had a few shoes, and many sizes were out of stock. No staff helped me when I wanted to try on the shoes, as if they assumed I wasn’t going to buy anything.

When I decided to try them on myself, a staff member told me I wasn’t allowed to do that because it might damage the shoes. If that’s the case, why didn’t they help me in the first place when I showed interest in trying them?

Then, the female staff member started talking about me to another staff in Japanese, and the other staff glanced at me. Only after I decided to buy a few pairs did they start assisting me properly with everything.

Throughout my trip, this is the only bad service I’ve experienced from Japanese staff. I would never come here again if I had known the store was this small, had so few options, and especially because the staff were rude and clearly didn’t care about their customers.

I’d recommend shopping at an actual Onitsuka Tiger store instead of at a department store location...

Rude staff, zero hospitality – avoid this place!

Came in with a friend to check out some shoes. The staff was visibly annoyed from the moment we walked in. Instead of greeting us, they gave passive-aggressive comments about "not lingering too long" – even though we had just arrived!

The weirdest part? My friend wasn’t even trying anything on, and they wouldn’t let her sit while I was looking at shoes. Since when do stores forbid customers from sitting? It felt like we were being rushed out before we even had a chance to browse.

On top of that, their inventory is practically nonexistent. Almost nothing in stock – shelves were half-empty and selection was extremely limited.

I had SA, Asakura (?) , assisted me with my shoes. She was extremely good at English and very sweet. She helped me to buy my shoes. It was easy in and out.
