Visited the store today, and got told off by the old male owner simply because we accidentally dropped the chopsticks on the floor. We put them back, but the owner was over reacted and said “ Never Touch This!” in an unfriendly and impolite manner. Keep in mind that the chopsticks were not broken and we were actually gonna purchase them as gifts to our friends. We had no choice but to leave the store immediately! What a disappointing experience from a shop that claims to be friendly to tourists and overseas customers, but offer such poor hospitality and customer service. Definitely gonna leave a low rating on TripAdvisor as well!
Edit after respond: We were not aware that there were new ones under the display, and this is why we had picked up the display to look at. Even thou we picked up the display to look at, did we deserve to be told off by you? Was it like a major mistake? Did we misbehave? One thing I would like to point out is, some men get really stubborn and hard to communicate with when they get old. Anyway, we’re able to find what we need in another store, and I hope your business goes well despite the poor...
Read moreVery disappointing and unpleasant shopping experience here! The owner was having a rude attitude towards us (I am guessing it’s because we accidentally placed two pairs of chopsticks in the wrong spot). This is totally unnecessary and instead of reacting in a such passive aggressive way, he could’ve pointed it out in a more friendly manner if he’s having such a big issue with this. I even purchased two pairs of chopsticks from the store, but then I immediately regretted as I walked out of the shop. I don’t think this shop deserves any customers because any unintentional mistake will lead to a mean and unfair treatment, unless you want to get your good mood ruined. I hope the owner can have a better life as the attitude has to come...
Read moreHappened upon this place on a travel brochure and it did not disappoint. A bit hard to find and I accidentally walked past it once. Other than that, loved all the little animal figures and the great variety they had. They sold these wooden black and white figurines for less than 1000 yen. I found similar looking ones in Kyoto for more, so this place is definitely worth it. The man running the shop was nice and even offered a variety of gift bags for free. Definitely will come back if I...
