Poor staff and service. The worst Don Quijote we have ever been across Japan. We have informed the staff at first to use the coupon. But she didnโt tell us it has to be the same person as passport holder. I used my phone and my family shared her passport. They said we lied to them as the phone shown was not the same passport holder. The girl with full bang kept saying we lied in a rude way.
I really didnโt get how could a staff say to a customer about this, and even we proposed then I show my passport and do it over again. As we all had our own passports and coupons. But the ridiculous thing is, she found another colleague wearing glasses, who can speak a bit of English, saying because we lied, weโre unable to use any coupons even with another passport. They claimed itโs the store rule and even there is notice there? YET, the notice is simply mentioning if you are going to do tax free by card, the credit card holder must be the same person as passport holder. If not, youโve to pay by cash. Itโs totally different thing.
I asked for seniors and they simply grabbed two male staffs. And a male staff came to explain the same thing to us. Then we asked are you simply not allowing us to use to coupon? To be honest, we have been to Japan for many times and never heard of this arrangement.
The humiliating thing was, the male staff is asking us to proof the phone is our own phone?! He asked us to show him the name in iPhone setting. We did show him, but he said the name wasnโt matched. Itโs ridiculous that you didnโt know English, and didnโt know people can not putting their English full name but short name or nickname on iPhone setting. I even showed him my email account matches with English name, and those hotel confirmation with my full name. He still rejected. At last we stayed there for at least more than half an hour just to found another family member who have their full name stated on iPhone setting. Even we asked, how could we unlock our phone using Face ID if weโre not the phone owner? Obviously all of the staffs are just playing us and shows no respect to the tourists! The WORST experience we had ever had. If you need the coupon to be the same passport holder, youโve the responsibility to say this out to the customer at first. Not after we told you everything and then you rejected us with a humiliating reason and rude way! It does not even worth a star...

However, it seems to cater primarily to foreign visitors, offering a wide range of Japanese souvenir items. While this makes it convenient for tourists, it may not be the most practical option for locals shopping for...
ย ย ย Read moreI'd say they had the worst store staff and manager I've come across in Japan. The staff at the register seemed to be in over their heads, and the manager who came to the rescue was very rude, answering all my questions with a simple 'no' even before I'd finished asking.
