I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon in this very well organised sushi making (actually more than just sushi) class. Aya and Miki were delightful hosts and gave good instructions and demonstrations. I learned so much more than I expected and can’t wait to try my new skills at home back in Australia. I particularly enjoyed learning how to make dashi, miso soup and the egg roll. The venue is a small, very clean private apartment within a building that is a little difficult to find without google maps. When you get to the spot google maps takes you to, there is a small apartment block. up a few stairs on the right side where the letter boxes are you will see ‘Sun Cooking’, on the bottom letter box - use the apartment number for the intercom. There were 7 participants in our class including a mature 9 year old child who enjoyed the class and managed well. There will be a lot to eat at the end so don’t have lunch beforehand! If you have a small appetite I recommend you take a small sealed container with you to take away what tasty morsels you are unable to manage at the time. A wonderful...

Wow! I am truly honoured and blessed to come across this Japanese cooking class. Mum and I had a fabulous time. Hidemi, Bifuka and Yuki were friendly and a great team. Hidemi, the main instructor was an ex-chef in Canada and in Japan. She brings such a wealth of knowledge about Japanese cooking. Loved how she explains about food, its origin, and all the little tips in cooking these Japanese dishes. With this class, I’ve learnt and understood a little on how so much care is taken during the meal preparation in order to create dishes that taste so delicate, pretty and delicious.

A good sized class enough to give each student a good learning experience. It was about a 4 hour class to cook 8 dishes. The team were very organised, down to earth and professional. Great set up👍

If I had the time in Tokyo, I would have loved to go for all her other cooking classes! Highly recommend this...

We enjoyed the morning class with sukiyaki Wagyu. I booked it through Expedia. This cooking class exceed our expectations. I highly recommend anyone visiting Tokyo to book one of the classes with Cooking Sun.

The instructors spoke extremely good English and went beyond just teaching us how to cook. They taught us where the food comes from, the traditional ingredients, and showed us on the map where ingredients were located.

The class was easy to follow along and they are helpful and kind. The food was also delicious! It was the perfect amount for lunch.

Good advice is to eat breakfast before coming. You are cooking things the whole time but it isn’t until the end of the course where you actually eat. We didn’t eat before and by the time it was time to eat, we were pretty hungry. But it made the food even better!

Thank you Cooking Sun for making our trip to Tokyo so much fun and...

We had a great experience at Cooking Sun! They were incredibly knowledgeable, shared history of Japan, Sushi, and how the ingredients involved from the very last detail! It was a ton of fun, and recommend if looking to learn the history of sushi, and take a bite out of Tokyo.
