Tennozu Isle Station — Local services in Tokyo

東京モノレールとりんかい線が交差する駅です。 東京湾に面する港湾関連の会社や倉庫が駅の東側に軒を連ねていますが、駅から会社や専用施設までやや距離があるからか、車で利用する人が多く、あまりこの駅を利用する人は多くないように見られます。駅周辺には飲食やショッピングが出来る施設もいくつかありますが、イベント等でもない限り休日でも混雑した様子は見られません。基本的に混雑している時間帯は少なく、利用しやすい駅と言えます。 一方、東京モノレールとりんかい線の乗り換え目的の利用はあまりお勧めできません。地下に駅のホームやコンコースを繋げる道はなく、必ず地上に出なければなりません。さらに、東京モノレールとりんかい線のホームはそれほど離れていないにも関わらず、乗り換えの途中で利用する交差点の信号待ちで時間を浪費されることがあります。東京モノレールの天王洲アイル駅は急行が停車しないため、より乗り換えに時間を要することがあることに注意が必要です。

This station is at the intersection of the Tokyo Monorail and the Rinkai Line. On the east side of the station, there are many companies and warehouses related to the port that face Tokyo Bay, but perhaps because it is a bit far from the station to the companies and facilities, many people use the station by car, and not many people seem to use the station. There are some facilities around the station where you can eat, drink, and shop, but unless there is an event going on, it doesn't seem to be crowded even on holidays. Basically, the station is not crowded during most of the time and is easy to use. On the other hand, it is not recommended to use the station for transferring between the Tokyo Monorail and the Rinkai Line. There is no way to connect the station platforms and concourses underground, so you must go above ground. Furthermore, even though the platforms of the Tokyo Monorail and the Rinkai Line are not very far apart, time can be wasted waiting for traffic lights at the intersections used during the transfer. It should be noted that Tennoz Isle station on the Tokyo Monorail does not have express trains stopping at the station, so it may take more time...

We had a great lunch here with our friend who lives nearby.

I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza, my wife had the white fish and our friend had a steak. Everything was delicious and nicely prepared.

The staff here is friendly and the hostess spoke English, which is always a plus for a mono-linguistic American, such as myself. 😅
