TY Harbor offers a fantastic waterfront dining experience with a great selection of food and craft beers, though some details could be fine-tuned for an even better guest experience.

Starting with the appetizers, the chips with guacamole and salsa were flavorful, but the portions of salsa and guacamole felt a bit limited compared to the amount of chips served. It’s unclear whether this was a deliberate strategy to encourage additional orders, but a more balanced serving would enhance the dish.

The crab cakes and chicken buffalo wings were standout items—expertly prepared and packed with flavor. On the other hand, the roasted chicken fell short, lacking depth in seasoning and missing a complementary side like mashed potatoes. The sautéed broccoli and grilled onion were decent but didn’t add much excitement to the dish.

One of TY Harbor’s strongest points is its beer selection, particularly the wheat/white beer and pale ale, which were excellent choices from their brewery lineup. The location itself is stunning, offering beautiful waterfront views, though it requires a bit of a walk—approximately 20 minutes from Shinagawa JR Station.

Special mention goes to Jitsukawa-san at reception, who was incredibly professional and accommodating, ensuring a thoughtful and welcoming experience. The entire team demonstrated great hospitality, contributing to the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere.

The location is great. They have a brewery and a bakery. The space is very nice with lots of seating and a great deck along a bayside canal. The menu looked good, there were plenty of options. The staff were friendly, some more than others. We ordered a lot. The food was ok. The strawberry mojito was very good. I drank several. The oysters were really good. I should have ordered more. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good. The shrimp were very large. Though deveined, there was still residue. The cocktail sauce was nice and tangy. The margarita pizza was standard. The chilli and cornbread had nice seasoning and was a little spicy. The fried potato wedges with sour cream and chutney were delicious. I would order those again. The crab cakes were dry. The lamb chops were fatty. The chicken was very good, nice seasoning and juicy. I would have liked it better if the skin had been crispier. The hanger steak was pretty good. The ribs were ok. The slab was huge and meaty, but they were a little dry in places. The creme brulee was infused with tea; I didn't care for it. Not sure if I would return of my own volition, but I might accompany someone else and enjoy...

Pretty good place if you are missing some Western food. The menu options reminded me of high end pubs in Australia. Even though the place is huge, book ahead and you wont have to wait like I saw other people doing. Waiting around in this neighbourhood would suck because there is not much to do.

The beer is pretty expensive, ¥3800 for a jug of pale ale (about 5 beers). I guess that’s to be expected from a Microbrewery, and quality and taste wise it was on par with other microbrews I have had. These types of small batch beers are expensive wherever you go in the world.

4 stars because: It’s quite expensive. The location, although a nice quiet area is quite a trip from areas you may be staying as a tourist. We sat at a table that was SUPER wobbly which killed it for me, and the place was booked so we couldn’t switch tables. This thing was so wobbly you couldn’t use a knife to cut your food without spilling your beer. Honestly I would think that staff would check this when they put them out.

All that said, I could see this place being awesome for after work dinner and drinks if you worked in the area. Although it was a nice enough place, I probably wouldn’t go...
