After our grocery shopping, we went to the cashier which we must use their auto pay machine. We put in the exact change and we made sure the balance was 0, then we left the store. Cashier came out and said we didn’t pay for our goods, their attitude was very impolite. We asked them to check the cctv and they said it never work, is for display. There is nothing much we can do as we couldn’t speak japanese and we don’t want to get things complicated. We end up pay them again, this mean we paid twice for our goods and is not our fault. This is such a ridiculous experience and basically never happened in any country I visited. If they are so relied on their machine then they shouldn’t have this kind of mistake. I assumed is because we didn’t press the finish button (is all in japanese and cashier never tend to help) to get our receipt so our money went on to the bill to pay for the customer after us.
