Cafe Anahata — Restaurant in Yufu

If you love espresso and everything made from it, THIS is the place to go in Yufuin! I tried several other places during a weekend I stayed there beginning of April, but this was by far the best. A Fuji Royal roaster, Fuji Royal and Mahlkönig grinders, a 3-group San Marco manual lever espresso machine, and a proprietor who's an expert in using all of this to make the best espresso possible. I had some extra time before my "Yufuin no Mori" train departed for Hakata, and I'm really glad Google Maps suggested it and I decided to walk over and try it out before leaving Yufuin. I had a very nice chat with the proprietor and hope I'll be able to come back...

I hope the manager can see this😭 I visited this coffee shop and ordered caramel latte. I kindly asked them to put the coffee in a paper cup since I wanted to go out as soon as my friends come to pick me up. And the manager told me to pay later(before I leave). And I said yes. I was drinking coffee for a while and I left the place without paying. I didn't even notice until I see the person who pays after the dinner at the restaurant. Excellent cappuccino here. Smooth and well extracted. Very skilled barista here. Place a little small, only 4 tables and can accommodate like 8 people at any time. Short operating hours.. Closed at 3pm though Google put that it was 4pm. Came back twice and both times were equally good shots. Best...
