If I could give 10 stars I would. I appreciate the team at LOST in JB so much I'm super happy to write a detailed review. We've played about 20-25 escape rooms by now and this one is definitely within our top 5 in terms of overall experience.
Room played: Heroes
The service: We went as a team of 3 and unfortunately, one of us has a foot injury. I WhatsApped LOST in JB in the morning and they swiftly responded with several accommodations. I won't go into too much detail about the accommodations because I don't want to spoil the room out of respect to this awesome establishment. But the team at LOST in JB went above in beyond such as putting a chair in one of the rooms where there wouldn't normally be a chair. The best part? The chair was put in the room dramatically in accordance with theme which was hilarious; such a cute touch! We appreciated the genuine effort which also made us laugh so hard lol. Not only that, they made sure to check in from time to time if our teammate was ok with certain physical elements in the room. At one point, when our teammate forgot to bring the chair along, one of the staff members even showed up hilariously to ask if we wanted the chair. From offering to keep our drinks to taking good care of us throughout the experience, this 100000/10 service and care from the LOST team is something we will remember for a very very long time.
The live actor experience: The live actor did an awesome job and it was very clear he was VERY into it hahaha. Big kudos to him! What we also enjoyed about the live acting was how it helped rather than hindered us from completing the room. The actor appeared at times where it made sense and moved the story forward.
The room, set design, production value: Overall, this was clearly a narrative-driven room. If you're a fan of the MCU, you'll go head over heels for this room because it has so many references to the universe. From start to finish, the room had a clear story with fun plot twists which made us feel like we were part of a movie. The room's strength clearly lies in the design and fun, extravagant elements with intricate lighting and sound cues.
The puzzles: Because this was such a strong room and we'd love to see this escape room brand live up to its potential, here's some constructive feedback. We feel like the puzzles could be a lot stronger and more woven into the narrative and theme of the room. Again, out of respect for this awesome brand, we don't want to spoil too much so LOST in JB, if you feel like you need clarification or even puzzle ideas, feel free to reach out to me! We feel that there was a bit too many "Read this instruction, now do this." - type of clues which took away from the theme a little bit. What would've made the puzzles a lot stronger is if the clues were woven into the story and theme of the room. In other words, no puzzle in an escape room should be able to stand on its own! This was mostly the case during the midgame section where there were also certain puzzles that felt random, as if they would actually still be solvable if you took it out of the room completely. The end game was a lot stronger because the puzzles were indeed part of the set design, story arc etc.
All in all, this was such a memorable experience and despite our nitpick-y feedback, there is no reason not to give this place 5/5 stars on Google; they deserve it and we hope to see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to eco palladium escape room-Lost. Played the game called as āBajieā, with my boyfriend on 17Aug today. However, the game on the last part. Required you to stand on the foot prints, & no indication of sudden fall may occur/ or any safety precautions are prepared. No sign of warning, and then sudden fall happened. The impact of fall is huge, and the drop is deep below. Thereās cushion at the bottom, however surrounding there isnāt any cushion. & I had a bad fall due to the surrounding of wooden platform & I gotten scratches on my right thigh and left bottom leg knocked badly with deep cuts and of cause I started bleeding on my both legs. My left leg bone felt painful too even Iām sitting down now without moving. And my boyf has to ask them to bring the first aid box in to help me fix my wound. & I warn them that this is very dangerous, the staffs there donāt seem like really bother about that. Didnāt even say will make changes on this and all. Never even said will escalate my feedbacks and get back to me. And after I walked out, I canāt even walk properly. & I reconsider I feel this was not right. I really worried there will be next person get injury due to this fall, I whatapp them to warn. & their replies was they will take into consideration of my opinion. What kind of replies is this. Sounded so unprofessional, and irresponsible. Canāt imagine a comedy game stated, could contain such sudden fall to this extend. Even if so, safety precaution shall be well taken in place. What if younger children play too? I even saw 3 months ago thereās someone injured due to this too! And wrote google review which means they donāt even bother to improve their safety precaution at all. So yet, today Iām injured due to the same reason!!!!!! I could really want them to take up this responsible! Horrible service, experience. Now I really have phobia of escape room.
21/10 updated with more details: Last photo was my current scaring, I have zero scar on my legs for years. Because of this I have a deep dark scaring and I need to do laser treatment to get rid of. And yet the person in charge ask me to be understanding that they are not liable for cosmetic procedures, HAHAHAHA. I wonder why I need such procedures ? Whereby I donāt even need previously. Whatās the root of cause I wondering. Can you imagine if this could happen to their sis/girlfriend/wife or even worse daughter how understanding they can be?
Please do some justice! Share to all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to LOST in JB in a group of 9 today, and while the escape room itself was decent (other than the strobing lights and the shield which fell out from a trapdoor in the ceiling that could have potentially resulted in an accident), the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. She spoke in an extremely condescending tone during the briefing. While we were playing the game, there was a box which had a sticker on it that read āDo not forcefully pull this openā. One of my friends gently unscrewed one of the screws with his bare hands and pressed the button inside. Not long after, the lady at the front desk came stomping in and yelled in a stern tone āwho pressed this button? Did the sign not ask you to leave this alone?ā. She then went on with her tirade as though we were misbehaving students that needed a discipline master/mistressās intervention. Mind you, she was speaking to a group of individuals with a minimum age of 30. And we saw a game actor come in and pressed some buttons on the wall to open a door before leaving (part of the show). So we thought that trying to spy on the code that was input into the number pad, and replicating it afterward was necessary. Again, it was not, and the lasy from the front desk scolded us again. She made it seem like it was our fault for going against her instructions, when her instructions essentially consisted of three things: 1. Donāt touch any cables/wires, 2. Donāt use force on the equipment; and 3. Not to take things from one room to another. There was no instructions about not unscrewing boxes.
When the game was done, she asked us to rate the escape room. After rating, she came out of the venue to ask us why we rated the game NPC a 2, to which we replied that it was because his enunciation of words were unclear (but that is understandable, given that it was an accent issue). When I gave her feedback about her attitude towards us at the briefing and during the gameplay itself, she simply replied āI was asking about the game actorā, showing that she was not open to criticism about herself.
Overall, gameplay was average to above average. But given the attitude of the front desk lady, I am inclined to give this place a miss the next...
