As you step into Eco Spring Labs, it feels like you have been teleported out of Malaysia and into a charming European town, Costa Nova of Portugal. At times, Eco Spring Labs also feels to me like the Springfield city of The Simpsons. Besides the colourful shopfronts, there are many photo spots around the area such as rainbow benches and a steam engine train.
The two notable cafés to visit in this area are Morihana Pastry (森花手工烘焙) and Soil Café. I visited both of them during lunchtime on a weekday which was not crowded. Other than dining and photo taking, there is nothing much to do here.
Tips: From Johor Bahru Immigration & Customs, it is a 30mins car ride to this place. Therefore, I recommend making a trip here together with your visit to Mount Austin. The ride is just 10mins away, whereby a ride-hailing service costs about RM6 during the off-peak period.

Read moreNice and interesting place to take photos in JB. Aside from taking photos, and chilling at the some of the cafes there, there is nothing much to do at Spring Labs itself...would recommend eating the Soil Soirée Cafe, and walking around to take photos.
Afterwards, you can head to Eco Palladium to take play their escape rooms, roller skate, play the floor is lava, or chill at the other cafes there. If you are looking to shop, there is nothing much to shop in this area. But there are plenty of activities in Eco Palladium (5 mins walk), and interesting sights...
Read moreA very nice place to take some photos. Only uploaded a handful of the pics we took. The building and decorations there just give out a European vibe. Really a good spot to go take some photoshoots. Just that the buildings can be maintained better and repainted as some looks run down and faded in colour.
