Owner liable to be reported for assault. This place surprised me â but in a bad way. We ordered spaghetti with clams, which had many small, transparent, shiny filaments (see picture). When we asked what these filaments were, purely out of curiosity and without any accusatory tone , the reaction was nothing short of shocking: the owner started giving confusing answers without listening to our questions, while the staff gave contradictory explanations, first suggesting the filaments were tomatoes, then garlic, then anchovies. As the owner began raising his voice â even though we had asked him to calm down because no one was accusing him of anything and we were being polite, we decided to leave for our own safety. The owner decided to follow us in the street and he tried to physically and verbally attack us (3 girls). He punched us and screamed at us, only stopping after being dragged inside the place by his employees. We are frightened and scared, we will never go back...
Read moreWe recently ordered takeout from Le Poisson, and overall, it was a pleasant surpriseâespecially for seafood lovers on the hunt for quality and value.
We tried the seafood pasta, garlic octopus, and six king prawns. The standout was definitely the seafood pasta: rich, well-seasoned, and generously packed with fresh seafood. In fact, it outshone a similar dish we had the night before at a well-known local spot, which says a lot about Le Poissonâs kitchen.
The garlic octopus was tender and flavorful, a great balance of texture and punchy garlic. Unfortunately, the king prawns were the one letdownâthey were overcooked and a bit tough, missing that perfect juicy bite.
Despite that, the meal was excellent value for money. For takeout, the quality and portion size exceeded expectations, especially for seafood, which often comes...
Read moreEXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE AND DANGEROUS BEHAVIOUR We had a terrifying experience here. After politely asking what some thin white filaments were inside our pasta with clams, the owner became very defensive and aggressive. At first they gave contradictory explanations - saying it was garlic, then anchovies - and eventually refunded the dish. As we were leaving, the man kept shouting aggressively. One of us calmly asked him to lower his tone, and after someone muttered an expletive, he completely lost control. He ran out of the shop, tried to attack us, and even attempted to throw punches, while two people were holding him back. This behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. We were shocked and frightened. Such aggression towards customers should be reported to the...
