I recently had the pleasure of dining at Enchanté restaurant in Senglea, Malta for lunch and I must say, it was a truly enchanting experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the open terrace. The view of the harbor and boats was simply breathtaking. I could feel the warm breeze on my skin and it added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. To start off my meal, I ordered the seafood carpaccio. It was a beautiful plate with thinly sliced fish. The freshness of the seafood was evident and the flavors were well-balanced. It was a perfect light and refreshing dish to start my meal. Next, I tried the octopus in garlic. I have to say, this was the highlight of my meal. The octopus was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The garlic added a nice kick to the dish without overpowering the delicate taste of the octopus. It was a true delight to my taste buds. For my main course, I couldn't resist ordering the linguine lobster. Being in Malta, I had to indulge in some fresh seafood, and this dish did not disappoint. The pasta was al dente and the lobster was cooked to perfection. The sauce was rich and creamy, complementing the lobster perfectly. It was a generous portion and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and happy. The service at Enchanté was impeccable. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The atmosphere was also very relaxed and comfortable, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Enchanté restaurant to anyone visiting Senglea, Malta. The combination of delicious food, stunning views, and excellent service makes it a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
Read moreThis place could be * or ** BUT. The service is the show-stopper. Staff is friendly but totally untrained and has no education when it comes to the exceptional food they deliver. The view on the port is stunning. However the notation is always the full picture and that started nice (with the view on the port) and than was smashed by the "sommelier" rushing us to take some wine. Even after trying to explain 3 times that we FIRST want to see what we are going to eat to make the right choice he went on pushing ... one star gone before we even had ordered. The menu was fine and explanation of the specials as well BUT ... it was not mentioned that the foie gras was pan fried. As much as I like foie gras as much do I dislike the pan-fried version. Another star about to leave and a lesson learned - when not in France, ask how the foie gras is served. The food however was extraordinary good, pasta was al dente and ingredients were fresh. Seasoning was perfect but the wine we surrendered to accept was definitely killing the second * together with the chaotic organization of the staff. There's a lot of potential in this place and despite the 3* I would recommend it for the food - if you are patient, asking questions where it should be clear and insisting on choosing the wine after having...
