Disappointing and Overpriced Mixed Grill – Mood Bistro, Cospicua
We recently visited Mood Bistro in Cospicua and, unfortunately, left disappointed—especially after spending €30 per mixed grill.
We ordered two mixed grills, which are advertised on the outdoor menu as suitable for two people. We asked if bread could be served on the side and were told yes, but only plain naan was brought. The actual food consisted of just one patty, 6–7 pieces of chicken (presumably the skewer), a few wedges, and two small slices of bell pepper. There were no beef skewers, and the grilled vegetables mentioned on the menu were practically nonexistent.
One of the mixed grills was shared by our two children (aged 6 and 10), and they finished it easily—then asked if that was all. For a dish meant to serve two adults, the portion was incredibly small and incomplete. At €30 per portion, it felt like a real rip-off.
We also ordered the moussaka, which was at least tasty—that was the only highlight of the meal.
Lastly, upon paying, we were only handed the card payment slip. We had to specifically ask to be given the proper fiscal receipt, which should have been provided without question.
All in all, not an experience we’d...

Read moreThe service was generally friendly, but some items on the menu was unavailable. For example, I wanted to eat falafel, which wasn’t available, and I was then recommended moussaka, which was supposed to be very similar to falafel. Somewhat skeptical, I ordered the dish, which turned out to have no resemblance to falafel at all. The food was also far too expensive for the portion size. Paying by card wasn’t possible either, and no receipt was provided. Only after asking twice did I receive a receipt with the total amount but no itemized breakdown.
All a...
