Sergio's Sportfishing Center — Local services in Ensenada

Terrible, terrible experience. This company will put your life at risk to avoid taking responsibility. A member of my party suffered an accident while on board, 100% caused by negligence on their behalf. They had bolts sticking out of the ceiling right at the entrance of the cabin that ended up cracking someone’s head open. The crew failed to take accountability for the incident, failed to react quickly, but worst of all – they did not even have a first aid kit on board. If you’re stranded in the middle of the ocean, you should be able to trust that the captain or crew will know how to respond to an emergency. The crew was nice, but under no circumstance are they qualified to safely transport people on their boat. Simply put, they should NOT be in operation. We had to cut our trip short to seek medical attention. When we got back to shore, nobody from the office checked in with us. They didn’t offer a refund or even offer to pay for the medical services we needed. Do not book with them if you value your safety. Additionally, they had promised free parking on premises and new, clean boats. Neither of those were true. They are a deceptive and unsafe company that refuses to take...

Sergio and his team provided us with the perfect day of fishing. We were suppose to arrive before 6am for our Super Panga, but we majorly messed up and got there at 6:40am. Sergio and his team communicated really well with all of us to make sure we still got out on the water. There was no waiting around. The boat was beautiful, well kept, and felt very safe. The crew, David and Brian, were fast and knowledgeable fishermen. They caught a ton of live bait in just a few minutes. After that we immediately started catching fish. Early in the morning we got lots of yellow tail and bonito. Later on we used the live bait to get some ling cod, bass, and other beautiful fish. The crew helped the less experienced members of our group to get the basics down and everyone was able to reel in multiple fish. The crew got some awesome pictures of us altogether. They also filleted all the fish for us and bagged it all up. We left with a ton of delicious fish. Afterwards we went back to our place for the weekend and made fresh sushi that was absolutely incredible, as fresh as it gets. I can't thank Sergio and his team enough making everything...

Sergio treated us with professionalism and great service for our fishing charter. We arrived 90 minutes early for our reservation, and he was great in getting our boat and crew prepped so we could leave earlier and fish for longer. He was very helpful in directing us to a place to buy lunch, and provided an ice chest in which to store our food and drinks. We did a 5 hour fishing charter, and caught plenty of fish. The crew were very helpful and patient with our group, and were very good at making sure everyone was having a good time. My only complaint was that the drive from the harbor to the fishing location was extremely slow. The boat driver kept the boat at 10 mph, which seemed too slow for what we could have been traveling. While there were some waves, I couldn't understand why we were traveling so slowly. While on the boat, we saw plenty of dolphins and even caught a quick couple of glimpses of a whale, which was an added bonus. They even had a great selection of music playing on the boat!
