Cha Cha Cha Dive Shop — Local services in Isla Cozumel

I am a certified driver with less than 20 total dives experience. I was looking to try a Cozumel dive one day of my vacation. At the Explorean resort in Cozumel, I was given JP's name and phone number from Jassiel who is one of the activity guides. JP runs the Cha Cha Cha diving service. I communicated with JP via WhatsApp. Communication via WhatsApp with JP was efficient and extremely useful. JP provided links to their web site to fill-out forms and pre-pay the service. All very professional and easy. I received confirmation of the drives and payment via email and text. JP was also able to arrange for a pick-up and drop off at my resort Pier which was very convenient for me, saving me the cost, time, and hassle of arranging for taxi transport to the dive shop.

Day of my dive the boat captained by Simon arrived at the exact time I had arranged with JP. The diving master was Carlos Orlando. Carlos took me and 4 others on a dive of Santa Rosa and Cedral. I always heard that Cozumel was a great scuba dive destination. These two drives were excellent with amazing water clarity, reefs, and marine life. The Santa Rosa drive included several cave-like open pathways that were stunning and full of fish of all different colors. On the Cedral drive we say lots of marine wild life including Turtles, Nurse Sharks, Lobsters, Stingrays, and so many fish.

Next time I need to remember my dive camera.

Just spent an entire week diving with these guys and couldn't recommend them more! They are very professional and super friendly. Divemasters JP and Alex are amazing! I was a little bit nervous taking on some of the deeper dives (Devil's Throat), but they made me feel really comfortable and checked on me all throughout. No eagle rays yet on this trip, but visibility was great. We saw turtles, sting rays, giant lobsters and crabs, lots of fish, and some seriously impressive coral formations that are challenging but fun to swim through. You can count on them to be actively looking for and pointing out cool things underwater. Even saw a shimmering blue octopus during a night dive!

Service above water was also great. There are snacks (cookies and fresh fruit) and drinks on the boat, and if you snorkel, the guac and ceviche (made fresh by the boat captain himself) are actually the best I had on the island. Not to mention you're eating it surrounded by sting rays in the bluest water imaginable!

Thanks JP and the entire Cha Cha Cha crew for an incredible time! Will definitely dive with them again the next time...

I met JP in Bali on a dive boat. I had the opportunity to catch up with him in Cozumel and spend the entire day with JP and Carlos on Cha Cha Cha's boat. Great wall dives in the am. A+. My wife and friends came along for the afternoon. They snorkeled above with Carlos and I was diving below with JP. It was fun to drift the reef and show details to my friends, pointing out interesting stuff. This dive operation is top notch, safe and super chill. Due to weather coming, we did a 4 dive day! It was extremely beautiful and the drift along the reef is so easy. I saw the largest, mature turtle I think I have ever seen. It was HUGE. Snacks, and lunch were great.
