CozuDive – Scuba Diving & Snorkeling Cozumel — Local services in Isla Cozumel

My partner and I had an amazing time diving with Cozudive. Our experience started off about a week before the dive when we reached out to Marylin via WhatsApp. She was incredibly responsive and informative about what needed to happen to book our diving adventure. Marylin made this very easy and we felt comfortable taking the first Playa Del Carmen - Cozumel Ferry for the day to get to the meeting point.

My partner and I were both open water certified in 2022, but haven't dived at all since then and chose the "Scuba Refresh" when we went in April 2024. The day of the trip, Edu and Alvaro were the guides for the day and we were impressed at how they were able to cater to 4 experienced divers AND us 2 newer divers. All of the gear was on board and ready to go before we arrived and Edu, Alvaro, and the captain were a seamless team throughout the whole experience.

Edu gave my partner and me an efficient and informative review of Scuba practice and theory on the way to the dive site. He was also incredibly humorous and fun to learn from. Although I had trouble equalizing, I felt very supported and comfortable going at my own pace with Edu while Alvaro was able to take the more veteran divers down right away. On top of that, Edu gave my partner and me tips on how to improve our diving and pointed out some spectacular sea creatures when we were there! Lunch and water was provided in between the two dives, and it was fantastic to be able to relax and enjoy the experience.

Due to high winds, all of the dive parks were closed for the day. Fortunately, Alvaro and Edu took us to two excellent dive spots: Paradise Reef and Villa Blanca Wall and we were not in the least disappointed! Both sites had impressive views and sea life. We were able to swim with Spiny Lobsters, Trunk Fish, Puffer Fish, Giant Green Morays, King Craps, Banded Coral Shrimp, Angel Fish, and many other sea creatures!

Overall, we were very happy with our experience and look forward to diving with CozuDive again...

I had such a wonderful experience diving with Cozudive. I organized a trip in January for a friend and I who were fairly new to diving. We had both only dove 6 times previously. After first speaking with Marilyn on the phone through WhatsApp, I knew we would be in good hands. She assured us that we would be well taken care of and that we would not be diving beyond our training/comfort level (something other dive companies in the area I called could not confidently assure me). On the boat our dive master gave us a very detailed briefing and reviewed some fundamentals of diving with us which definitely helped us feel confident and at ease for our dives. But CozuDive is not just for beginners; they had other groups on our boat which did more advanced dives. The other Dive Masters on the boat were very friendly and accommodating to make our trip memorable. Our equipment fit well, and one of the other dive masters also lent me a flash light to explore some dark crevices! The dives in Cozumel were spectacular. We went to Palancar Garden and Paso del Cedral. We saw sting rays, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and a turtle among many other fish. Marilyn was also great at helping us coordinate our arrival to the port in Cozumel on time from Playa del Carmen. After I researched online, it wasn't super intuitive at what time we would need to get on the ferry to get to the dock in Cozumel on time. Marilyn was able to give us exact recommendations of what time to take the ferry at, details of where the taxis would be when we arrived in Cozumel and how much it would cost. On our way there, she was also in close communication with us to make sure we were able to find our dive boat quickly. Overall, it was such a great experience and was my most memorable dive so far. I can't wait to get back to Cozumel to dive with...

I recently had an absolutely fantastic diving experience with Cozudive at the stunning Santa Rosa Reef, Palancar Bricks, and Yucab Reef dive sites, led by their exceptional dive master Edu. From start to finish, the professionalism, expertise, and commitment to safety that Edu demonstrated was truly top-notch.

The Santa Rosa Reef, Palancar Bricks, and Yucab Reef sites were teeming with vibrant marine life - schools of colorful fish, playful sea turtles, and even a nurse shark resting peacefully on the reef. Edu's extensive knowledge of the local dive sites allowed him to guide us directly to the best spots to maximize our time underwater and ensure we saw the most incredible sights.

When my air tank unexpectedly began running low during the dive, Edu quickly recognized the situation and unhesitatingly shared his own air supply with me. His quick thinking and selfless actions allowed me to extend my dive time and fully enjoy exploring the breathtaking coral formations and diverse aquatic creatures, including that majestic resting nurse shark.

Edu's composure and skill in that high-pressure moment gave me complete confidence and reassurance throughout the dive. It was clear he is a master of his craft, with unparalleled knowledge and abilities as a dive leader.

The entire Cozudive team was friendly, organized, and made the whole process - from booking to gearing up to getting in the water - seamless and enjoyable. They truly went above and beyond to ensure I had an amazing time.
