I'm a long time regular customer who spends 800-1000 every month at Asian Market and went to buy two bags of kimchi worth 380 pesos, but Korean auntie's visa card machine wasn't working. Again.

I transferred the money to her bank and it took her 45mins to receive it.

During this time she told us to wait or return again tomorrow, only once payment had gone through, whilst acknowledging that we were regular customers - I will always return and square anything in future.

She had the opportunity to keep a loyal regular customer, but she refused to make any concessions, wasting my time in the heat, because she's too cheap to turn on the airconditioner.

By the end of it, I was left so annoyed and made her return the 380 pesos, and she will lose a loyal regular customer who spends thousands per month in future business.

Also when she returned my money, I saw how much she had in her bank account app, and I can say I have 10x more than her.

Can't believe how cheap, greedy and pathetic she is...

El lugar está en un edificio muy antiguo, por lo que se ve deteriorado y obviamente tampoco se da el mantenimiento para hacerlo lucir mejor.

Es un establecimiento pequeño por lo que dentro se ve todo amontonado, ya sea de cajas o productos, tienen varios refrigeradores y se siente muy caliente, porque tampoco prenden el aire acondicionado.

Los precios son altos en comparación a otros lugares que ofrecen el mismo servicio, Toyo foods está solo cruzando la calle.

Éramos clientes frecuentes y habitualmente veíamos a los dueños (con un español a un 20%, no lo suficiente para una conversación, y tampoco hablan inglés) tener regularmente problemas con la terminal para tarjeta.

Esta vez, la solución como en ocasiones anteriores fue hacer transferencia, por lo que se hizo y se le mostró el comprobante en el teléfono; la dueña nos pidió esperar... y estuvimos esperando 10, 20, 30 minutos ya que la señora quería que se viera reflejado en su aplicación.

Al ver que estaba pasando mucho tiempo sugerimos enviar el comprobante de transferencia por correo junto con nuestros datos personales en caso de cualquier inconveniente, ya que a veces las transferencias pueden tardar más de lo habitual.

La señora es muy inaccesible y no permite sugerencias cuando tampoco aporta a solucionar la situación, (solo decía que no le llegaba porque nuestro banco no servía y que se había regresado el dinero porque no le llegó 🙄) ya que la transferencia si salió, pero ella quería que nos fuéramos y regresaramos otro día, entonces saco el kimchi de nuestra bolsa cuando ya se le había pagado. 😂

Total que después de casi 45 min revisó su aplicación y ya estaba el pago, su actitud de grosera y codiciosa cambio súbitamente a una sonrisa falsa.

Entonces en ese momento pedí que hiciera la transferencia de regreso ya que no estaba interesada más en el producto después de la situación, justo en ese momento habló en coreano con el señor que supongo es su esposo, no se que dijeron porque no hablo coreano, pero el tono se sintió agresivo, total di las gracias y me fui. (Ellos no se disculparon en ningún momento por los inconvenientes).

En resumen, si no funciona la terminal les recomiendo no arriesgarse o llevar efectivo, porque también en algunas ocasiones cobraban el uso de la terminal. En lo personal no volveré a consumir en ese lugar. A pesar de que ya había visto comportamiento grosero de los dueños hacia otra gente o trabajadores, no le presté tanta importancia, también creo que usan la situación del idioma como pretexto para decir "es así porque yo digo y háganle como quieran". Tiendas hay muchas, y con el mal servicio y actitudes que toman alejan a los clientes...

AVOID this place if you have other options, very bad ethics. if you go make sure to check the prices carefully.

They have a pattern of cheating and lying to customers, overcharging for items, especially if you look like you're new to the place or a tourist.

This has happen to us more than several occasions where they would try to charge 600+ for something that costs 300 usually. And they get away with it because a lot of items are missing mexican labels.

If you need to shop for asian products just go across the street look for TOYO. Or there's Aju Market for Korean products 2 km away.

Again, decent selection of products, horrible ethics, zero shame. They WILL try to cheat you if you don't...
