I started ACL rehab at Fysiomed and unfortunately didn’t realize until later that my initial care was below standard. For the first few weeks, I received a static exercise plan with no adjustments, despite raising frustrations about my recovery. It wasn’t until I switched to another physiotherapist that I realized how static my plan was and how behind I was - by then, I had lost crucial recovery time and in my 6 week checkup the doctor raised concerns that I might have scar tissue buildup in my knee.
To make things worse, I was repeatedly told Fysiomed was contracted with CZ (my insurer), only to later find out this wasn’t true - forcing me to pay hundreds of euros from my own pocket. The miscommunication and lack of proper oversight significantly impacted my experience.
Update: I initially reached out via email to express my concerns. In response, they called me and asked, "What do you want us to do?" They also suggested that "perhaps the miscommunication was the reason the original physiotherapist’s contract wasn’t extended."
Following my six-week checkup, I sent a follow-up email asking whether they believed my initial recovery plan had been appropriate and if the care I received met the expected standards. I did not receive...
Read moreI went to this physiotherapist specialist on the pelvic floor to know how was mine after giving birth. I expected her to check me (touching) because it is impossible to know how is your pelvic floor if you don't touch it. Well, she told me that she doesn't touch anybody! It was a big surprise and a big disappointment for me. She only asked me many questions about urine leakage, etc (my midwife already did it, the same questions!!). In the end, she explained the typical Kegel exercise. In summary, the session was a waste of time and money. I already knew everything she told me by googling (Kegel exercise and check the diastasis recti by myself). Besides, in the invoice she has charged two days instead of one because she said:' normally with the insurance I declare on 2 days...that's why'. I paid but it sounds very weird, also because I checked the prices on her website,...
Read morefor 3 years i have been looking for a practice in Amsterdam without being satisfied. Then a friend of mine suggested me FysioM, when i was almost hopeless and i decided to give them a go. Here i met Tijl who is hands down the best Physio i had. He listen to my needs and always find a solution for my complains. Always with a positive attitude, always providing me with the right tools to reach my goals and always adjusting to address the concerns of the moment. He has a strong knowledge that allows him to help you with the treatment but also giving you exercises and suggestions to bring with you at home. Last but not least, Tijl is very empathic as he can easily understand the frustration I am going through when i cannot be 100 per cent performant with my training . Highly suggest the facility and big THANK YOU to Tijl. Without you i...
