Stayed here for 3 nights in September. We had a loft style room which was very spacious- was surprisingly bigger than the photos online show! The room had everything you needed for short term or long term stays. There was no dish towel though, but there was some blue chamois cloth, which I guess they intended you to use to dry dishes? They provided two complementary bottles of water in the fridge when we arrived. The two negatives were there was no blow dryer in the room, and I had to not only go to the front desk but also call back down, at least twice more to get a blow dryer, while my hair was soaking wet. The lighting in the room was nice, and the king bed was very comfortable. The only other main issue, which was a pain was the walk-in shower. Apparently the contractor that installed these did not do so properly and the half wall that holds the water inside the shower area was way too short and every time we showered the floor would flood to the rest of the small bathroom. Also there were no toiletries with the exception of a wall mounted hand soap dispenser in the sink area and in the shower area. No shampoo provided. To solve the flooding we had to get some extra shower mats or hand towels, (there were no face cloths) to put on the floor between the shower and where you exit the shower to try to stop the floor from flooding. The front desk was aware of this issue, so it was not just our room. While not located downtown where all the action is it was a great location because it was on a tram and metro/subway line. You could grab the tram right outside the front door entrance or you could walk a few feet to the subway/metro station and take a short very quick ride about four stops right into Central Station, where all the action started. Also, right across the street from the hotel, were many restaurants and a grocery store, although most of the restaurants are only open Monday to Friday, there were a few that remained open on the weekend. All in all, it was a nice place to stay and very reasonably priced, and we would consider staying here again, if we ever wind up back...
Read moreI first want to mention the super helpful staff. It was smooth process both for checking in and checking out. One evening my travel buddy asked for additional coffee pods. They didn't have the decaf version downstairs at the time. The front desk person Jeremiah said he would go look for them and bring them up to our room later. And sure he did! All the way up to our 12th floor room. I think that really went beyond my expectation. We also had asked Jeremiah a couple of questions, and he answered in good details.
OK. Location-wise, it's not downtown I know. But it's already reflected in the pricing. It's actually closer to the Station Zuid than I thought. With our pace, and taking a shortcut by turning right immediately after getting out of the Metro station (walk along the railway tracks, not in between buildings,) we cut the walking time to less than 10 minutes. We even got an early check-in on the day of our arrival. All I needed to do is to sign up to become a member. That was super helpful to us! We got some rests early in the day, and was able to make a pretty much a full day of exploration afterwards.
They have quite a few appliances. Those are very helpful. I would add one recommendation though -- perhaps add a microwave oven. (There is a regular oven, but I don't think there was a microwave. At least that that I could find or figure out.)
Like I said, I'm happy with Premier Suites. It was one of the reasons our two-day Amsterdam stay is just going to be a memorable one for a long...
Read moreWe stayed 5 nights in a 2 bedroom unit which was on the 13th floor and has a good view of the sun set.||Firstly this apartment is situated in a good location, within 10 minutes walk to the Amstetdam Zuid(Amsterdam South) where you can catch a train or the metro. The airport is just less than 20 minutes train ride away. You can even travel to many cities using the train from this station.||Staff are friendly and you will be greeted each morning by the receptionist. The unit is spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equiped and there is even a oven. You can buy groceries from nearby supermarkets to cook. In the lobby, you can chill with free water, coffee, tea or just have an apple. The windows in the unit is double glass so you hardly hear the train and traffic noise below.||There are many dining options nearby though some may close as early as 5pm or 6pm as this is a commercial area. However, the city centre is just a less than 25 minutes metro ride away.||Overall I would recommend this apartment as its easy to move about and away from...
