I had one of the most traumatic experiences of my life at this bar due to the extreme and unnecessary violence of the security staff.
As I was waiting for my drink before leaving, a security guard motioned toward the door, seemingly indicating that I had to go. I tried to explain that I was just waiting for my drink, but he ignored me. Thinking he couldnât hear me over the noise, I lightly touched his shoulder to get his attention. Still, no response. I assumed he didnât care and walked back to the barâthen, out of nowhere, two security guards aggressively grabbed me.
One held my arms while the other started punching me. I had no way to defend myself. Then, they tackled me to the ground and began choking me with extreme forceâI was suffocating, screaming for help, and genuinely believed I was going to die. The choking was so severe that I lost consciousness, and at one point, I felt them trying to dislocate my shoulder.
I wasnât violent, nor did I intend to cause any harm, yet they escalated the situation to a level of brutality that was completely unjustified. I survived, but I truly believe that if someone less physically strong had been in my position, they could have been seriously injured or even killed.
After what felt like forever, they finally let go and threw me out of the bar. My girlfriend tried to intervene, but they restrained her. My friend pleaded with them, saying their actions were unnecessary, but they ignored him too.
This wasnât just excessive forceâit was reckless, dangerous, and completely unacceptable. If this is how they handle a simple misunderstanding, I fear what they could do in another situation. Be extremely careful if...
Read moreBro... the people who work here think they are freaking superior. The level of arrogance is disgusting. If you lose something or ask them for a favor they will just tell you to go frick yourself basically. Zero empathy. Apparently working in this bar and having power over someone gets you behaving like a dictator and a bully. Like it's their policy or something, idk. Or they'll victimize themselves and create the story of you (the customer) starting an argument. Then they'll have a "legit" reason to kick you out and not having to hear your story. I guess the government of Saudi Arabia should be taking notes here. Like they could actually learn something here, lol.
Also this club gives the impression of a big meeting place for some entitled international students whose arrogance level is also in the clouds. Dissapointing behaviour... (superiority complex) Excluding people and looking down on the rest. Not every international student though but the majority.. Like why go to a different country and stay stuck in your own bubble? Anyways, compared to the staff, the international students are okay/manageable.
If you are in Leeuwarden and you want to have fun and be surrounded with respectful staff and people, you should go to the alley nearby and stay in a bar there or bar-hop. The staff there are way more willing to attend you and help you in a respectful way if you lose something. Or when you have a question/request. Maybe you guys (Bascule) can take an example of them.
Finalizing, the staff here is a disgrace. Zero social intelligence. Good luck finding it out for yourself if...
Read moreThe bouncers are behaving very strange. I wanted to enter the club being sober and after I showed them my ID they randomly told me that they are closed, even if people went in and out while I was staying there. It was around 3 AM and on the program says they are open till 5 AM. Dont recommend the place or any other club from there. Probably they are racists or superficial individuals. Bunch...
