Unpleasant experience at Art Rotterdam 2019.
Once arrived we left our coats at the cloakroom, paying 2 EUR per person, but no one told us that we had to leave our bags too.
Once at the entrance, we were blocked and sent back to the cloakroom. In the cloakroom we were told (in a rather rude way) that we had to pay 2 more EUR per bag, as bags were stored in a different place than the coats and hence had different labels. We were also told that "rules are the same for everybody and we hence had no right to complain".
We had no coins and it was not possible to pin. We had to go to the counter and pay a "fake bill" of 2 EUR to get the necessary coins.
Once finally inside, you can imagine our surprise when we saw plenty of people carrying (quite big!) backpacks!! I had to take pictures of it.
When we went to take our coats back, I showed the pics of people with backpacks inside, hoping for (at least) an apology. What I got was again a rude and unrelated reply, that included something in Dutch about foreigners coming to The Netherlands...
