A new Vietnamese restaurant in Rotterdam! Had to try it out after reading the reviews. When we went there the restaurant was just 3 weeks open. We could see how unorganized it still was (for example, waiter forgetting drinks, table being cleaned with a dirty towel, etc.) But it was all good since we understood that they were still new and trying to run their business. The reason i wanted to go here was because i saw drinks and desserts that i have not seen at other Vietnamese restaurants yet. Like "Flan" and the "Egg coffee". Did it taste like the ones i had in Vietnam? The people working in the restaurant were all Vietnamese people, so my excitement was quite big since i expected authentic flavors. We ordered; banh xeo (not included in the pictures, ours was a bit burned), goi ga, bun bo hue, bun thit nuong, flan, egg coffee, matcha coffee and a soft drink (quite alot for 2 people 😂). The flavors were nice and some were quite authentic. However some were a bit off. The owner came to talk to us (a young gentlemen!) and was open to any feedback! We gave our 2 cents (being a Vietnamese myself). It was nice talking to the owner and knowing a bit of his backstory :)
All in all, it was a good experience and i wish this new restaurant all the...
Read moreBeen here twice. It was chaos both times. Will not come back.
This time. We ordered drinks, but they only arrived after we had finished our appetisers. We asked about our drinks twice (because we were thirsty) but we still did not get them until we had been sitting down for nearly 45 min. We ordered two appetisers. The fresh spring rolls arrived first. The fried spring rolls arrived 15 min later. The pho with sliced beef was very disappointing. Too much onion. The rice noodles were broken. And, to make it worse, the broken rice noodles had turned into one big clump. At most Vietnamese restaurants, you can season your pho with fresh herbs and spices. Not here - which I thought was a shame. Service was a mess. Our server was not attentive. I do not think he understood us (when we asked about our drinks). And, it bothered me that he kept throwing the dishes on the tables, instead of putting them down. I thought it was disrespectful. Also,...

Super delicious traditional Vietnamese food in the South of Rotterdam, quality speciality coffees, soft milky pandan tea and the most lovely people!
The owners are warm and welcoming and make you feel at home. Even though my brother and I have many allergies and food intolerances, enjoying traditional Vietnamese dishes was possible and safe. Their vegan and vegetarian options are absolutely worth a (must) try and remember to refresh yourself with homemade iced tea as dessert... it's absolutely delicious!
It's a good place for some flex working as well. There is more than enough space downstairs in the basement, especially if you want a little privacy for calls, meetings or group...
