We were waiting for the room to be ready at the hotel and decided to eat before we checked in. The waitress who was serving the table was very pushy on picking something to eat. Every 3 minutes she would come by asking what we wanted to order. My partner asked for a beer recommendation and the waitress responded with the beer list, when asked about one of the beers she replied, “I don’t know where it’s from it’s local I guess I don’t know, what do you want?”

After getting the food, it was obviously microwaved. It’s as if the staff has never eaten the menu items before. I asked questions on the happy hour special and it was super vague on which drinks were special pricing. The waitress came over and asked if we wanted to more drinks and she grabbed the half drunken beer and sprayed it all over my partner’s face. She did apologize but a big part of it felt on purpose. We were certainly not comfortable with them after that and paid shortly after.

On a separate occasion on this same trip, we were hungry and wanted to order to go since we came in from the beach. We remembered our bad experience but wanted to keep the interaction to a minimum. We approached to order some food and the two waitresses literally eye-rolled as we were ordering as if they were bothered doing their jobs. The one waitress ignored us and was on her phone to whole time until someone else came up and she was chatting. We ordered off the menu and the main waitress demanded the menus back. She grabbed them and threw them to the side. After about 30 minutes our quesadilla and hot wings came out and they were super cold.

On the last occasion here we asked to order some food from the room for pick up before 8pm, the hours of operation is until 9pm. They pick up saying that they are closing the kitchen. They literally make up their own rules on hours of operation. It’s literal insanity, as if the the whole restaurant is managed by children. This is the BEST place to grab a quick bite and drinks if you’re staying at the Hilton-Flamingo. Antony (or his cousin-sorry forgot his name), both function as bartender, waiter, cashier, concierge and hospitality ambassadors. My best friend and I felt right at home. Food was great, breakfast, lunch and dinner…plus drinks are strong and delicious! And the blended Mojito was phenomenal!

Their so-called 2-for-1 Happy Hour is a ripoff! Four of us ordered one drink each, and yet we were charged for… 4 drinks?! What about the 2-for-1, we asked? They said it means 2-for-1-for each person! If the same person had another drink, then it would have been free!

Been to many Happy Hours - have never been charged this way before. Kicker was being told the situation was our fault - for not understanding...
