I have been to the salon a few times, my 1st experience of hair extensions was amazing, second 3rd and fourth visit there were challenges with my experience, colourist inexperienced and one visit was 8 hours and colour copper in the blonde extensions a margarine tub was used with boiling water to remove the copper colour I was advised it was tanning lotion I had used just completely unprofessional. My 3rd visit 20 of my extensions were not replaced in my maintenance service I overheard the owner and stylist discussing how they were left in the island of the salon when we did a count on my 4th visit they were missing I was told by the owner the string at the top of the extensions were loose and on top of the 10 I found had fallen out and kept safe 20 had slipped out due to loose string without me seeing any falling as I had historically of course I was charged an additional 20 feather extensions, my highlights last and final ever! 4th visit were imbalance and not blended or toned from natural crown hair and the new mystery missing feathers the highlights were not blended around my face or hairline there are still greys and root dark colour despite my request of a “scandi hairline. Colour blend” the colourist is a franchise previous recruit and charge premium no pricing or discussion of pricing is ever discussed or online 2 1/2 head charges on final bill vs 1 full head just to lie and rip off clients! the install of my extensions are not uniform are sporadic a real rushed mess line a dot to dot drawing it’s a mess I have given the owner the opportunity to it to resolve the matter my colour my bill the install and some honesty about my missing extensions to add to the problem no water was offered at my 7 hour appointment I ordered uber eats and water, the tsunami warning in Akl I had to cancel my appointment as I had home floods minor and falling fence due to the storm I was charged $100 it was a natural disaster, this was charged to my card and not added to my bill, the experience is terrible the end of my worst salon experience was no music kids screaming and imbalance colour I felt absolutely ripped off ! I will never go back and never recommend this salon. The owner was given the opportunity to resolve the issue however didn’t respond or act. From the day I heard about this place i have not looked anywhere else! I have tried all sorts of Hair extensions you google it Ive tried it! This place was referred to me by a family member of mine and I am happy to say Ive never looked anywhere else! Maeve really takes care of your hair as I had never heard of Olaplex ever before except when I first met Maeve and happy to say my hair has never been healthier since using the Olaplex products and that was 3 years ago. I have been coming to Andrew Mae for three years and every time I Walk in the door it is always so warm and welcoming just exactly like the first day i walked into the Salon! Maeve is a very special and understanding person even with my demanding needs that are out of Operating hours she still fulfils her Duty as what I call my Hair Guru! I wouldn't look any where else to go as both Maeve and I have shared so many personal experiences whilst sitting in that Hair Salon chair and I find it therapeutic to just vent out whatever is going on in both our lives.
