Worst service I saw in my 9 years life in New Zealand! It seemed like they just threw us away middle of the dinner! We went there at 10:10pm,tried their Kisok,it didn’t work. Then ordered to the counter. They took the order at 10:24pm and said it will take 15 min. We were going to upstairs and was told that if we go to upstairs we have to finish by 11pm. We said ok as the food is supposed to come at 10:39pm, means we had 20 minutes to finish. We had 2 toddlers with us as well. They took 25 minutes to prepare the food. My husband went thrice to check whether the food is ready or not. At about 10:50 they gave us food and at 11 pm came and said, you guys have to leave or have to go downstairs as we close upstairs at 11pm. We said, but you guys served the food 10minutes later. So pls give us 10 more minutes as middle of the dinner we can’t pack everything and go out or go downstairs. Also, your downstairs is very cold,you guys don’t even have heater!!!! It is not comfortable to eat with kids in this weather to eat downstairs with doors open and with no heating system. The employee Called the manager,& manager was so rude! Employee was helpless! It is only matter of 10minutes but she didn’t allow. Then I requested to give the phone to me. The manager named Sana, she didn’t even say sorry for a single time for delayed service or cold downstairs,rather trying to say I have to leave according to the rules, as after 11pm upstairs is closed. When I asked, why food is delayed, not our fault, she then tried to put is on staff 1st saying, “didn’t he told upstairs is closed after 10pm” I said, “you yourself said upstairs is closed after 11pm!” Now after this failed attempt she said,”didn’t he said we are closed for dine in?” I said, “why would he said so as the order was taken at 10:24pm?” Now finding no way to blame other she was trying to explain again that they can’t keep the upstairs open after 11pm! I said, it is matter of 10 minutes! And you are making such issues where you guys are the only one who were late, it is your problem you don’t have heater in this cold weather to serve people in downstairs!!! She now said, you can have my number. Talk to me later”
WHAT NONSENSE WAS THAT!
She is the one here to manage customer service,and she asked me to call to discuss later,while she is ordering to pack up middle of the dinner to leave us the store , and while they are responsible for being late serving!!!!
I just concluded saying, “not us, not the team member, it is you the manager and your owner who are responsible as you don’t know how to do customer service and don’t even know how to make a comfortable environment to eat in cold weather!”
She could easily allow 10 minutes.
At night with two kids,taking half of the burger from my kids’ mouth we have to leave the restaurant paying $50!
WOW! What a service!!!
Will never forget! Worst experience in my life!

Read moreToday we had very bad experience with Chicking in Sandringham. We have ordered a meal 12.43pm and was waiting to get it. But no one was paying attention to our order. After 15 min my wife go and ask about this order and they said it'll take another 15 min. I felt like they start to make it after we asked. Then we wait another 15 min, but still nothing. We asked again and they said they need another 5 min to get it ready.
We wait another 10 min and still nothing. Then wait another 15 min, but still nothing. Then we said to the duty manager that we have waited almost 1 hour, and ask to make it quickly But the manager said you didn't wait 1 hour and that are another 3 min to 1 hour. she was really rude to us.
My kids was so hungry and waiting waiting waiting. But she was react so badly to us. Then we asked full refund instead of food. Then she snatched the invoice from my wife's hand and ripped. Then she asked our account number to refund and it will come tonight. That's sooo bad.
The duty manager was SOOO mean, rude and showed bad attitude. This is first time i went to the Sandringham brunch and first experience i had like this. I never ever had this kind of bad experience in New Zealand in my life!!!!!!!! :(
