Time Out Bookstore — Local services in Albert-Eden

Looks small but bigger on the inside. We have had several strange experiences in this store: while waiting for my wife just today I stepped out briefly only to see a newspaper stand with the headline "TRUMP IMPEACHED, JAILED". I rushed back to tell her the news, but when we stepped outside again the newspaper stand had vanished and the sun was a great red conflagration that filled half the sky, and the land a black smoking plain. It was also quite warm out, so we popped back into the shop. Upon leaving things were disappointingly normal once again. OMG THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE WHOLE OF NEW ZEALAND. I love it. Avid book collector, this is my favorite place to go to find a new book. The whole store feels as if you've walked into a wizarding shop from Harry Potter. It smells amazing ( of new books ) and there is a huge variety to pick from. The best part is that it's independently owned, and they really show how important that is by the creativity and the types of books they sell. Really great store! Called ahead to get a book set aside, as online it said there was only one left in stock, and spoke with Elijah (I think that was his name!). He was incredibly helpful with locating the book, called me back as soon as he found it a minute later. When I went in shortly after, they were super busy - so the fact that he took the time to locate quite an obscure book for me was fantastic. The team are friendly, the book selection is amazing, prices are great - all round an amazing local gem. Highly recommend going here to find what you’re after over the ‘big box’...
