Review 6 months after installation and system usage. (NB: I almost never give a 5 star review.)

Summary: Would thoroughly recommend CHCH Solar.

Tom and Molly and the team from CHCH Solar were very friendly, straightforward, helpful and honest in our dealings with them. The initial meetings were clear and detailed, all queries answered and they were very flexible with alterations to the quotes based on any spec changes we made leading up to our final decision. The installation process was smooth efficient, problem free, and completed without fuss. There has been no problem with any of the installed equipment that CHCH Solar was responsible for. There have been 3 short term outages of WIFI production DATA collected + sent by Fronius as they were making changes to their software. This is now sorted and never affected energy generated by the panels. Combined with using Octopus Energy company who pay an excellent rate (17c/kWh) for our excess production (+ cheap night rate 15c/kWh) , the system is ideal for our needs- 2 adults , both working away from home. Our power savings to date have been averaging approximately $100/month, may drop a little over winter-will depend, of course on the sun! We are moderately tech savvy, and drive an EV. Advice: do through research, it can all seem complex.

Becoming part of the Christchurch Solar dream was truely a pleasant, professional experience, right from the start.

I was a little hesitant about the whole process of installing solar, but from the very first day Jake came to talk me through the process….to the very first email when Joy said she was dealing with the electric company….right to the best day ever, when Fergus & Armstrong walked through the gate with my solar panels …. the experience has been full of excitement, excellence and is a dream realised.

During the whole process, the team kept us informed and were kindness personified, knowledgable, respectful and efficient. It was fun, exciting and so interesting watching the installation process. We have absolutely no regrets.

Jake has been back today to talk through our solar usage, over the last few weeks, which is brilliant and has explained our next steps around buying and selling to the grid.

I can highly recommend Christchurch Solar as the ‘go to guys’ for anything relating to solar panels, batteries, smart solar diverters or optimising the efficiency of your solar systems. Tom, Molly, Joe and the team are not only highly professional, but they are just really nice people to deal with. They aren’t pushy like some other companies I have dealt with, they are local and really seem to care about doing a good job. Even with the small details like moving things around to align them so they look neat to just being clean and tidy in everything they do. Joe even came back to help us understand and reorganise a few things just to ensure everything was working as we wanted it. We have an 11kw solar array with two inverters which they fitted a Tesla Powerwall 2 to. We talked to lots of local installers and Christchurch Solar worked really well for us.
