White Tie Catering — Local services in Christchurch

I was managing a large-scale two-day national event that was held in Christchurch. I sought recommendations from the venue for caterers to obtain quotes for and White Tie was their first recommendation. And I can absolutely see why. I am really fussy when it comes to catering as I firmly believe that food can make or break an event or function. It's the one aspect that makes me nervous as you really are at the mercy of the caterers. With White Tie, I needn't have worried. They were brilliant to work with from quoting, to menu selection, right through to delivery and food presentation. Nothing was too much trouble and their food was absolutely incredible. Faultless! Their chefs even did trials to test some of special dietary requirement food. Gluten free, vegan and dairy free food can often be such a poor cousin to mainstream options, but I can honestly say that their options superseded anything mainstream.

I must have been one of the most (non-intentionally) difficult customers ever. Firstly, I was quite unwell when I was making the booking which means I kept missing details asked of me which prompted the lovely people here to continue to email me multiple times all with wonderful grace. Though I hadn't made it clear that I wasn't 'challenged', just unwell, they took it all in their stride. This meant that when we got there on the day and the food didn't turn up I knew instantly that it was my fault. A few flicks through the coms and I could see that I had put down the lunch delivery to our hui for 1.45 instead of 11.45. I had missed out the extra 1 in my sick haze. In contacting these wonderful people and explaining yet another of my error's and that I had my guests waiting now they, without pause or any outward upset hustled over with the kai there and then. It was so worth the wait! So yum. They also kept the egg of my face at a pretty significant hui. Only the best. The menu created for our daughters wedding was without doubt one of our highlights. Our guests are raving about the food with many requesting the recipes. We totally enjoyed this experience from start to finish. Initially unsure of the menu choice my daughter and son in law where a little lost to decide. Living overseas also was not easy. Clear explanations of the menu and then a fantastic experience at an amazing tasting when they could finally fly to Christchurch left them looking forward to the actual day, knowing the tastes of the food to come. The wait staff including bar service was outstanding. I never saw an empty bottle on the tables with our guests every need preempted and meet. How lovely for us to hear all the lovely comments as the food came out. Every thing was perfect.
