Disappointing Service and Lack of Responsibility

I had a very disappointing experience with Flight Centre. After booking international tickets through them, I encountered an issue with my children’s passports, which were discovered to have expired. Despite being a travel agency that should ensure all travel documentation is in order, no checks or guidance were provided regarding passport validity before issuing the tickets.

When I requested to cancel the tickets, I was shocked to be informed that I would be charged both airline cancellation fees and additional fees by Flight Centre. This is unacceptable, as Flight Centre shares responsibility for this oversight. A competent travel agency should verify such critical details before processing bookings, especially for international travel.

Their handling of my complaint lacked accountability or understanding of my circumstances, and I feel their approach prioritized profit over customer care. Team leader Lauren Minshull is absolutely SUPERB. Imagine meeting a customer who is going 10 different countries in one month holiday, while having to check every single flight for best saving and flight time? Well Lauren did ALL that. YUP. I recently spent 5 weeks on holiday in London, Costa del Sol and a number of cities and towns in Turkey. Almost all my flights were arranged by Rebekah from Mairangi Bay Flight Centre. It involved 8 flights in total, some needing to take the same flights as friends I was meeting there, some airlines were not part of the Flight Centre's deals but nothing was too much trouble for Rebekah.
