Mangiamo Cafe — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

Today I went to this café with my family for brunch, and what we experienced was by far the worst service I’ve ever encountered.

The café looked busy from the moment we walked in—only two staff were taking orders, serving, and making coffees. When we placed our order, the staff told us it would take about 15 minutes longer than usual. That seemed fair, so we agreed to wait.

Nearly 20 minutes later, just one coffee came out. About 40 minutes after that, a milkshake was finally served. But the real problem was the food—it didn’t arrive until more than an hour and a half later. And that was only after one of my family members confronted a staff member, pointing out that people who had arrived well after us were already receiving their meals.

What shocked me most was the staff’s attitude when we raised our concerns. There was no apology, no reassurance, no effort to check on our order. They simply stood there, dismissive, as if we weren’t worth their time. Even after complaining, we waited another 20 minutes before food arrived—still with no apology whatsoever.

Whether they forgot our order or not, the complete lack of acknowledgment and basic respect for customers was appalling. If this café is going to operate in such a busy environment, they should hire enough staff to cope. At the very least, they should treat customers with a minimum level of courtesy.

Terrible food had a corn fritters the sauce was out of the jar the dressing already pré made also out of the jar the salad looked wilted and the fritter had hardly any taste but could only taste some raising agents. Not friendly service the front of house hardly communicated I came with my little 9 months baby had no help to set up the high chair and not to mention that they were no harness on the chair it was dirty and not safe. The almond and pear tart could not taste the almonds this is because too much flour was added to substitute the amount of almonds. As a chef I was very disappointed and still not understand how cafes like this can still in business. Very fast at taking money over the counter it felt that the owner were more interested in taking the money rather then offering good food and services...

Just visited this Cafe for a brunch and food arrived to us after 1:20 minutes and drink after 30mins. I even noticed that the people who came well after us got served with the food. It appeared that they forgot our order and realized later when one of our family member spoke to staff about it. There was no apology from any of the staff member. I have never experienced such a poor service from any cafes. It was total waste of my time and money. I do not recommend anyone going there. I know that the cafe was there for a long time, and they may be in comfortable position in getting customers no matter how bad their service is..
