Timezone Botany Town Centre — Local services in Howick

We attended a family 5th birthday lastnight and the kids had so much fun playing on arcades & all other activities. The staff were great assisting with the whole birthday program and food was absolutely delicious however we had one child who accidentally got her gaming card stuck in the hippo machine unfortunately we couldn’t retrieve it so we asked for help at the reception area. The guy who served us (wearing a beanie & wore a mask) gave us the rudest and unpleasant attitude saying he did not want to get the card and it would take him 2 hours to get it out shaking his head whilst swearing away and so he asked another colleague to assist with getting another card. Customer service is number 1 priority and he did not show any professionalism towards his role. I wasn’t sure if he was just having a bad night or whatever but dude needs to be trained. Reported to manager at the time and he was excellent with taking our concerns seriously. Hopefully this matter will be resolved in future but overall great night...

We had my son's 8th birthday party there and were pleasantly surprised at the hands on care that was provided by our amazing host Aaron. Aaron learnt not only our son's name, but the names of the other people in our party, he hyped the kids up and kept them engaged and made sure everything ran on time. We did 30mins of bowling, followed by 1.5 hours of gametime. By the time game time was finished the kids were super hungry, but as you can bring your own food, we nipped down to the food court and grabbed food from there and made sure everyone was well fed. We were there for THREE hours, the weather was rainy and this was the perfect place to keep the kids occupied. Also the baloon centrepiece and welcome sign were supercute, and the partyroom itself was clean and spaciaous for our party of 8. My son's birthday party at Botany Timezone was a complete disaster. Numerous games malfunctioned, significantly reducing our planned playtime, and problems with our game cards required multiple trips to the cashier. The previous party ran 20 minutes over, leaving us with no time to set up our party room and forcing a delayed start. Incredibly, the staff insisted on a strict 1:30 PM end time, despite our delayed start and the fact that no other party was scheduled. This inflexible adherence to the 1:30 PM deadline, contrasted with the apparently more flexible 12:30 PM deadline for the previous party, was both unreasonable and incredibly inconsiderate. Their paltry five-minute extension offer only added insult to injury, resulting in a rushed, stressful end to the party and no opportunity to say goodbye to our guests.
