Hosted my daughters 5th Birthday at the Birkenhead super park. Facility is an amazing place to bring your kids on the weekends, school holidays or even a date night but planning a birthday was chaotic. The staff member I was corresponding with was rude and abrupt and provided the bare minimum. No signs of customer service which I can see from previous reviews is a recurring issue. There needs to be better options for food especially when they're big on the "NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED." We were advised that our food would be ready by the time our booked session would be, only to be told that "their kitchen is busy and so food is running late". Took about 15-20mins for food to arrive and your booked party room session is only for 45mins. To avoid waiting times it'll be good if they also provide cold food options ie. sushi platters, sammies, or crisps and dip or allow outside food for partys at an extra cost. So much potential as its a good place to go have fun pretty much has all that you need under one roof, all except great customer service. Wouldn't recommend planning a bday party here not enough info on the website and when emailing through to ask for more info staff are unhelpful and lack basic common sense or customer service. Asked if my nephew who is going through remission and also being diagnosed with autism was able to bring in his own little lunch box of what he can eat and was told flat out no - no outside food allowed. After going back and fourth with their staff I later requested to deal directly with management who advised me this was fine. Staff member lacked empathy and put little to no effort in providing any decent information. Good place to take the kids for some fun but planning a birthday party becomes a stressful process...
Read moreWe've been here (Livewire Birkenhead )4x already with our tribe of boys age 2 to 11 and they absolutely looooove the all in 1 Fun play at Live Wire! (trampoline, Inflatable, ball pit, arcade, educational play, playground, bowling, laser tag etc. in one building ). But I would like to review this from a parent point of view wanting a breather while taking the kids to play. Firstly, the best time to go is definitely 100% during the school term, it's more relaxed and easy supervision. During school holidays it is very crowded (as expected in every indoor playground) and for under 5s and toddlers you definitely need to watch them closely as there is no specific designated playzone for under 5s. Secondly, if you have babies there is one bathroom downstairs and the rest upstairs, the upstairs one has a changing table but its alot of stairs to get up, especially if you have toddlers as well, just good to bare in mind. Lastly , there are seating attached to the ball pit play area but are facing away from playground; there's a bench type seat available facing the playground but at the time we were there , there was only one. Lockers are available too which comes in handy! The children would stay here all day if it was up to them, the fun is endless! and the cost is affordable and so worth it! Now that the children have had their fun (for now lol)the adults are next and looking forward to dining in and enjoying a few games! Now that's a breather! lol So...
Read moreManagement needed. We visited for a birthday party and when entering the kids play zone with my child's lunch box (dietary requirements) I am told that I am not allowed to eat in the playzone. I already knew this and told the person at the gate that I was not planning to eat the food, and that it was for when my children went into the party room for food as they have special dietary requirements.
The response that I received from the man at the gate was a threat. A threat that if he caught eating in the playground he would throw me out and I would be banned for life. I explained again that I was just holding the lunch box for later. People should not be spoken to in that way.
I brushed off the rude attitude of the employee as someone that takes his job seriously and as the gatekeeper of the kids playground that is a good thing... But unfortunately the was not the case as the gatekeeper was mostly on his mobile phone and allowing children to leave the playzone without their parents, at times he left the gate open allowing people to move freely in and out of the kids play zone.
There are a whole lot of other issues but this was the only one worth mentioning in this review as it in my opinion is a risk to the safety of the children that attend.
A very unprofessionally...
