Good Chemistry Catering Limited — Local services in North Island

We had Good Chemistry cater our wedding earlier this year and we were blown away by the food, wine and service we received. Right from the start the team were great to work with and took our very vague menu ideas and turned them into a fabulous menu. We wanted a relaxed vibe to our menu and reception so we had the food served family style on big plates on the table. It worked really well as people didn't have to get up to line up at a buffet and it got people talking at the tables about the food as they passed and shared different plates around. Our 70 guests loved the food and we got lots of compliments from our guests saying it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. They kept an eye on everything from a distance and were polite and efficient. Drinks were free flowing but we trusted the staff to let us know when the tab limit was close to being reached. We felt like we were in safe hands which meant we could relax and enjoy the evening, stress free! Everyone left well fed and happy, what more can...

We used Hunter Lounge as a venue to compliment our presentations being held at Memorial Theatre at the University. With 160 people for lunch, morning and afternoon tea; the food was beautifully presented, dietary requirements easily taken care of and staff were incredibly friendly with nothing being a problem. Just next door to the theatre, the venue was quite novel with that creative/campus feel for our guests who were a 'few' years out of university. It was also clean, creative and relaxing with a variety of seating options. The menu options provided were a little different and very delicious making the selections nice and easy. That said, the team were happy to make adjustments to suit our needs.

I would definitely recommend this venue for your next event if you are looking for a nice versatile space that's a little bit different coupled with good catering...

I like Good Chemistry. I have used a wide range of caterers over the years and these guys take the cake. Why? well they are easy to deal with (very important), there is now fuss, the menu options are expansive and deviations are permitted. The food: and the food is excellent. Fresh, clean, appetising food that always always gets a comment even from my most fussy guests. There is always enough for lunch for the prescribed numbers yet never embarrassingly too much! I often cater for the same group of people (board members) and they comment on the variation within an order - for instance there seems to be an incredible array of slice options. My hope is that Good Chemistry keep going from strength to strength. If you are a bit dissatisfied where you are give Good Chemistry a go....
