WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCED. I am utterly saddened by the rude behaviour of one of staffs who he admitted that he was the chef of the restaurant. He was so rude, arrogant and disrespectful towards us. We visited this restaurant today for breakfast. We are on holiday and this is our first time in Wellington. Long story short, We decided to go to this restaurant to feed our kids and were sitting outside with our kids (2yo and 7yo) and the table umbrella/canopy where we sat wasnt screwed in properly (no screw whatsoever actually) and the wind lift the umbrella out and almost fell on to our kids. Lucky we were so quick to respond so it didnt fell on our kids. If it fell on to our 2 years old it could injure him and cause life changing impairments that require long term care. We reported to one of the staff, then a guy who he said that he was the chef came to us, the first thing he said was “i am actually the chef in this restaurant” no apology whatsoever for the incident happened and he sound very arrogant. Then we told him that we want to sit outside and how bad it is that the restaurant failed to secure and make the outdoor areas safe for customers. and how did they let the umbrella not screwed in properly and while we were talking he then yelled at us and said “EXCUSE ME, I AM TALKING NOW, YOU LISTEN TO ME NOW”
Me and my husband were so shocked, and so upset and told him thats now how you supposed to talk to customers. Then he just WALKED OFF. Thats so rude on his behalf, the fact that it was the restaurant’s fault for failing to secure or fasten the table canopy but that was the treatment we received. Didnt have a chance to try the food, Greatly disappointed and feeling insulted for such a ruthless behaviour. Will never visit this...

Read moreNever thought to experience a discrimination in an eatery. My husband and I took a seat outside and ordered breakfast, a few minutes later the waitress lady came out and asked for my credit card to keep while we have our breakfast. She said if we forget to pay, they will lose some dollars. Others who sat outside weren’t asked for credit card and were well-treated. I clearly said a No and told the lady to get a seat inside if she doesn’t trust us. She left and we went waiting almost half an hour then a waiter came out and asked us how are we going. I explained the situation to him, he came out with the food within few minutes. Also we asked for water to the same lady and haven’t got any until we finish the breakfast despite asking many times. I don’t understand why do they ask to keep a credit card for $28 food. Do they think they make food with gold???? We travel alot and dined in many restaurants all around Nz, never experienced a racial discrimination like this. Food was excellent. Second person’s behaviour was very good . Doesn’t matter how good the food is, if the service is poor there is no point in running...
