Very disappointed in their customer service. Looking for a food truck for a birthday party in April and I calculated my budget according to what is on their website which says "consider $20-$30pp on average for budgeting purposes.". So according to that I roughly overestimated 45 guests and multiplied it by $30 which came to $1350, so I rounded my budget to be approximately $1500 according to what they've set. These are rough numbers as I'm just looking at my options and was requesting quotes. The response I got was "during the busy time of the year would be $2000 (minimum spend). Unfortunately $1500 falls short and we won't be able to assist you this time."
First of all, it's not that busy around April 12th, Easter is over by that time and school holidays start on 13th April.
2nd of all, I was willing to go over that initial budget set hence asking for quotes. The budget as mentioned was set according to what was stated on the site. Although, I mentioned this I was still met with the same responses.
Initially, instead of apologising and advising that the minimum spend is $2000 for whatever reason for that time of year which they did not clarify, and then asking if I would consider it so they could assist further they just flat out said they can't help.
I actually have a horrible feeling because I am from Otara and the event is in Clover Park that this is why they refused immediately and made some excuse to not serve me.
Food Truck Collective, which I used last year and spent $5000 on a guest list of 30 people were very helpful right from beginning to end regardless of my initial budget being set at $1500. Provided us with endless cocktails for the night, food and dessert.
Unfortunately, I've had a horrible experience with Love Street Food NZ.

Yes, you mentioned the minimum spend is $2000, but you advised that it was due to it being the busiest time of year (don't change and twist this now), and that you could not assist me without considering the budget you set on your site which is why I set my "budget" at that as an estimate too.
Without trying to rectify this you continuously make out that I'm the problem. Appalling service.
This is my feedback and my experience and you choose to respond with name calling. That's your level of professionalism. I would suggest doing a refresher course on customer service and I hope you're not a "snowflake" with a "bad attitude" that takes this constructive criticism to heart.
