Pak'nSave New Plymouth is a solid grocery store offering a wide selection of products at competitive prices. The store layout is spacious and organized, making it easy to navigate through the aisles and find what you need. The variety of fresh produce, meats, and pantry items is impressive, and the store is generally well-stocked. The overall shopping experience is efficient, and the store maintains a clean and tidy environment.
However, one area that could use improvement is the staffing at the cash counters, especially during peak hours on weekends. The queues can get long, and with limited staff available, it becomes frustrating for customers to wait. Adding more staff during busy times would greatly improve the checkout process, ensuring a smoother and quicker experience for shoppers.
Despite this, the staff at Pak'nSave New Plymouth are friendly and helpful when approached, and the prices are some of the best in the area. Overall, the store provides great value and convenience. With a little attention to improving staffing levels during busy periods, it could easily become a five-star experience. Iād highly recommend Pak'nSave for your regular grocery shopping needs, but be prepared for longer waits...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFruit & veg lower quailty than other supermarkets but everyone knows that about pak n save. A while ago Informered them of incorrectly priced item came back a few days later the incorrectly priced item remains (basically a trap). Also seen many other price traps like a bin fill of goods with a special but one flavour in the bin not on special. No cash at self serve. Numerous time I have seen people upset with cash to pay for goods as they just a few items but have to wait behind usually 3 trolleys of shopping to pay for two items with cash. Lines often large. I went late one night and only one line was open and about 7 shopping carts full of groceries trying to check out. I told them you are not going to get though these before you close. The response was we have told that guy not to come late at night (a dairy owner had about 3 trolleys going through) a better response would be to have more than one line open. One of only two pak n saves in whole of nz that dosnt take amex. The list goes on. They do often have the best price for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday 08-03-2019 I received an email mentioning that today was the great saving day because Pak 'n save had a 40 cents per liter discount deal on. I was at Pak 'n Save just after 8 am and purchased goods at a value over $ 200. Paid and got a 6 cents discount. Went to customer service and she said that the deal was on as from 10- am. Well ...that was not communicated. If I had any complaints I had to contact Foodstuff she said because they made the mistake by not mentioning this. I could come back today she said and then I would get the 40 cents. I told her that I live in Inglewood and that it is quite a mission and distance to drive back and forth. NO reaction. I went again this afternoon and I was asked if I had left my name. No one had asked for that. Why would you need my name I asked. Because then we would have issued you the discount and you could collect the docket on your next visit. Well, that would have been a nice solution. Too little too...
