Forget Mount Tauhara, Master of India just erupted with the most incredible Indian food I've ever tasted!
My tastebuds did a joyous jig with every bite of the paneer makhani. It was like diving into a cloud of smooth, creamy magic, bursting with flavourful spices that had me begging for more. My partner's paneer saag, from the glimpses I stole, seemed equally divine - a vibrant green sea of goodness swimming with melt-in-your-mouth paneer.
But wait, there's more! The cheese and garlic naan? Oh. My. Word. Imagine a thick, pillowy cloud generously stuffed with the most decadent cheese, then kissed with a garlicky whisper of perfection. It was the undisputed MVP of the table, and sharing (almost) felt like a culinary crime.
And to wash it all down? Mango lassi that was pure liquid sunshine! ☀️ Each sip was like a tropical vacation for my tastebuds.
But the true masterpiece wasn't just the food (though it was definitely a masterpiece!), it was the staff. They were the warmest, friendliest bunch I've encountered in ages. They patiently helped us navigate the menu, checked in to ensure our happiness, and created an atmosphere that was both welcoming and delightful.
If you're looking for an Indian food experience that will tantalize your tastebuds and warm your heart, look no further than Master of India. It's not just a meal, it's an adventure for your senses! 🇮🇳✨
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant - you won't regret it! Just make sure to order an extra cheese and garlic naan (or two)... you'll...
Read moreI was on a weekend getaway with family. I had a look at indian restaurants and went to one with the highest review with a good number.
We received a warm welcome at the entrance. The amioence is authentic and looks awesome. Feels like an authentic indian restuarant eventhough its thousands of miles away. By the time we took our seats, we were offered water with complimentary papadom.
We were starving(in my son's language), so straight away went for the main course.
We ordered paneer tikka masala and chef special balti mix veg with garlic naan. Curries were cooked to perfection and presented well. Both the curries were delicious, mix veg won our hearts, it had smoky flavours, and vegetables were cooked to perfection. Naan was crispy yet soft, perfect for dine-in.
A complementary onion salad was offered too, that was icing non the cake. Onion salad with nice curries enhanced the mood and taste for that evening.
We concluded with gulab jamun, which was awesome too. It was soft, and we could taste khoya for sure. It was one of the best we got in NZ.
All the staff were friendly and wearing smile on their sleeves all the time. We were served by Mr. Rasik, who was friendly and kind.
Highly recommend this place for authentic...
Read moreWe had a wonderful dining experience at Masters of India, Taupo. From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and excellent service set the tone for the afternoon. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.
The food was truly outstanding authentic flavors, generous portions, and beautifully presented. We tried a variety of dishes: Shahi Paneer, which was creamy and rich; the Vegetable Balti, bursting with spices and perfectly balanced; and the Goat Bhuna, which was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Cheese Garlic Naan was soft, fresh, and the ideal accompaniment, while the Daal Tadka had just the right amount of warmth and comfort. To complement the mains, the Vegetable Biryani was aromatic and full of flavor, and the refreshing Masala Chaas tied everything together. Every dish reflected freshness and authentic Indian taste. Overall, Masters of India delivered a memorable dining experience with top-notch food and service. If you are in Taupo and craving authentic Indian cuisine, this is definitely the place to visit. Ps- Special thanks to the staff and the chef. It took us...
