Kathy is perhaps the most dedicated and loyal Lord of the Rings fan that we've ever met, and her story combined with the incredible people that she has met and corresponded with is definitely worth hearing about. She has an amazing fan-made room, filled with all types of LOTR and Hobbit memorabilia.

If you're a small group, reach out to her to set up a private meeting and she'll share with you her incredible fan adventure in a 30 minute video with in-person commentary, along with up to 2-3 hours of amazing costume photos with pieces she, and her friends, created themselves as well as a few special items that were donated from other fans or lent to her to show in her home.

It might sound strange to visit a random persons house, but if you've ever been a die hard fan of anything - sports team, band, Disney, other science fiction books or films, and especially the works of J.R.R. The premise is simple, you make an appointment then you show up for a good time

Kathy will let you view some cool video's that will take you back in time, then comes the cool part. You can try on many different costumes! It is super cool to put on the costumes, which are selfmade and high quality, and immerse yourself into the characters. Some fun picture taking then commences. After that some more talks about the different props that are in the collection.

Hands down my favourite museum in NZ. & the best LOTR themed attraction. The museum is great fun for all ages, wether you've no idea what a hobbit is, or you can read Elvish. You can tell how unique and heartfelt the museum is the minite you step inside. Incredible history of avid fans seeing a beloved book become a big movie and a bigger takove of NZ, from kiwi & welly perspective. It wasn't too far from the city, only 15 min bus ride, so great for ppl w/out a car too. A special piece of Wellywood. must-see experience.
