Dudley Park Aquatic Centre — Local services in South Island

Great fun for everyone. With the multiple basin (4/5: lanes, learning, splash/play/lazy river and the hot tub). There's even a bubble spa in the splash side of the pool. The staff are friendly. There's a women, men, family cubicles (2 of the 3 have baby changing table, it would pay them put signs to ask family with no babies to focus in the middle cubicles) and there's two disability changing room (1 have a very fancy disability change table put in recently). Although I've seen worst the change room would need to be clean more often; mostly during and after heavy use. The pool can get busy during the afternoon and in the evening afterschool programs. It get much nicer early or later in the evening. Overall nice facility that can suit a great number...

Great modern, local council run, indoor swimming pool in Rangiora with an 8 lane pool a shallower learner's pool and a fun play pool with lazy river... There's also a hot spa pool where age restrictions apply. The pool has qualified lifeguards on duty at all times and occasionally has a large bouncy inflatable in the afternoons which kids love. Good changing rooms, female, male and family. In addition to vending machines in the entrance foyer, good quality swimming togs can be purchased as well. The pool runs a vast array of learn to swim classes, hosts the competitive North Canterbury Swim Club, masters swimming and water aerobics. If it's a wet day in Goon (local nickname for Rangiora), Dudley Pool is a great place to go...

For my injury recovery, I need the water temperature to be around 38°C for my water therapy. Two days ago, I was informed that the spa temperature was low at 35°C due to a forgotten open fresh water valve, but it would be fixed the next day. Today, I called before leaving Oxford and was told the spa temperature was 38°C. However, when I arrived, I was told that all the temperature gauges were broken, and the spa was still at 35°C. This was very disappointing! ACC pays $260 for the taxi drive back n forth. Two other people also complained about the cold temperature. Progress wld be to have a temperature gauge...
