CityFitness Rangiora could be a fantastic gym with its excellent facilities and well-maintained equipment. However, the ownership and staff seem incredibly slack when it comes to maintaining order and ensuring the gym remains a safe environment. There are often groups of teens running around and treating the gym like a playground. Just yesterday, I saw several doing cartwheels and backflips in the middle of the gym, and the staff did nothing about it. On top of that, the teens frequently hog equipment and stay in one spot for extended periods, preventing others from using it. This isn’t an isolated incident — I’ve heard several complaints about this type of behavior, yet nothing ever seems to get done. It feels like they only care about collecting membership fees rather than providing a safe and respectful atmosphere. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the lack of supervision. The gym has so much potential, but it needs staff who are willing to...
Read moreNice new modern gym, however for someone that is time poor and have a limited window of time to go to the gym its becoming increasingly frustrating the number of people just sat on the machines on their phones. I'm finishing a full 3 sets of exercises before they've put their phones down and attempted one rep! The staff are very young and I suspect would rather not approach their peers and request that they get on with it, or enforce that you get off the machine if you are on your phone. I saw one person last week, take two drinks and place them in the drink holders to reserve machines while they got changed. Where's the drinks membership card?? I suggest perhaps put the machines onto a circuit whereby you have a set time, when the timer goes you have to move on. This really...
Read moreI’ve noticed a real lack of respect from some of the younger members. They often sit on the equipment, glued to their phones, making it difficult for others to use the machines. It’s frustrating when people are trying to get a proper workout and have to wait because others are just lounging around. Another major issue is the foul language I’ve heard from these groups, even in the bathrooms and changing areas. It’s unacceptable and makes the environment uncomfortable for those of us who come to the gym to focus on our health and fitness. What’s even more disappointing is that when I brought these concerns to the staff, they simply shrugged their shoulders and smirked, showing no intention of addressing the problem. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel unheard...
