Only place I know that sells real Belgian waffles. Unfortunately they are $20, even if you just want one with just icing sugar sprinkled on it. So I get the banoffee one, which comes with cream, caramel sauce and some thin slices of banana. I got a strawberry gelato in a waffle cone with chocolate sprinkled with 100's & 1000's on the cone. They let you try 3 different gelato flavours (just ½ a teaspoon worth on a stick) so you know you will like what flavour you order. The place feels a bit fancy/posh for me, but I miss real Belgian waffles so much. Not the silly thin pretend ones, these are big and thick & cooked to order, so nice and fresh. But at $20 ($19.50 to be exact) per waffle this is only the 3rd time I've bought one. 1st time I've gotten a strawberry gelato in a cone. Smallest size is $7.50 plus $1.50 for "fancy pants cones" ; that's what is on the receipt. Heading home now to enjoy my waffle. It's not a perfect taste match compared to getting fresh waffles in Belgium or Luxembourg, but it's close enough. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite today. Buy 10 coffees get 1 free, not such luck with waffles! Open until 2200hrs, (I was surprised they stay open that late on a Tuesday) and located on the main street of Rangiora across from Unichem pharmacy, it's well placed. Dine in or takeaway. Busiest time of day is normally after school finishes. There was only 1 group of people in...
Read moreTruly recommend the ice cream. However was charged for a medium coffee only given a small and it was so burnt I couldn’t drink it. Even instant coffee taste nicer. The cabinet food is expensive but poor flavour and gritty, specially the baked desserts. Not very impressed with service as was asked to move aside immediately after finishing payment. Would of course of moved aside for other customers anyway but please let me put my wallet away first. Shop atmosphere is still beautiful truly recommend sitting out side and gelato flavours are incredible. Sadly, incredibly disappointed in...
Read moreI wanted to see what the hype was all about and decided to check it out. I am a big gelato fan and coffee lover, but this place didn't live up to my expectations. $7 is a bit steep for a single scoop of gelato (scoop was not at all generous) and my coffee was not up to standard. The young girl with a cap and braids that made my coffee could do with some training! Burnt coffee isn't nice. I understand that the store is new and she will be new to this, however you would be better off hiring an experienced barista. A friend of mine went here and had a...
