Monday 13th July Went to NomNom Kitchen for dinner with my Thai wife, ordered Red Duck Curry and Roasted Pork belly Stir fried egg noodle. Service was quick both meals look ok, but the red Duck Curry was more a Vegetable red curry with five small pieces of duck and not at all nice, my Roasted Pork belly Stir fried egg noodle, was peace’s of pork on a bed of uneatable egg noodles with very cold wet veg. We left without eating the meals. We had only been home two minutes and the phone was ringing it was the manager I explained why we were both unhappy with our meals. She did not really seem concerned but offered us to come back and have two meals of our choice.
Monday 20th decided to take them up on their offer and ordered two takeaways, Thai Style Honey Lemon Chicken with Kumara chips and fresh salad and Vietnamese GOL Salad Pork & Prawn Chopped roasted peanuts with pork (NO PRAWNS) Takeaways were done on time but on arriving home found the Vietnamese GOL Salad Pork & Prawn (NO PRAWNS) had Prawns which when someone has an allergy to seafood (anaphylactic reaction requires immediate medical attention) is not good, there were also no peanuts on the meal. Called them there were not at all concerned , and offered bring it back and well will cook pork for you… NO THANKS. We sat down to share the Lemon Chicken sure did not have the slights lemon flavour, and lettuce on its own is not salad.
Very disappointed as two year back this was a top place to eat out. Would be no stars if I...
Read moreDisappointing, arrived 6pm on a Saturday, they were busy and as we hadn't booked they said they couldn't seat us unless we didn't mind dining at the bar leaner which was fine, 10 minutes after arriving someone else came in without a booking and was immediately seated at a recently vacant table. I would of been happy to wait 10 minutes for a table instead of being perched at a bar leaner by the cold entrance to eat. Food arrived and we had to call back the waitress for side plates as we were sharing, staff looked disorganised. Food was underwhelming, it was just OK. The 'Chefs Specials' weren't special the Rendang Beef Dish sauce was thin, watery and not a recognisable rendang flavour, Thai styled honey chicken was average and not very tasty. Both dishes lacked flavour but were cooked reasonable well. On the plus the pinot gris was very tasty and the dressing on the salad was nice. Nice venue, staff need training in service and food was underwhelming. Would not order...
Read moreWent there for my b'day with my wife, with only 6 tables (6:30pm on a Saturday night)that were seated when we walked in, they still managed to forget one of our entrées and when my main came out I had to dissect the meal to find the meat (which was a combination 3 meat peppered sauce dish, I was very disappointed in my meal (as the meat looked like it was off cuts of offcuts, chopped up do small you couldn't recognizethe pork from the chichen)we had our plates taken when we finished and waited ages for the dessert menu to come, (which it didn't)so we paid and walked out dissatisfied with the meal and service that we went to the supermarket and grabbed a dessert from there and had it at home. Our previous meal time we had the meals and service you couldn't fault hence why we went back there , but it was so different this time...
